Hateful "reliable Christian news" says Walgreens WANTS new HIV cases
Edited on Sun Oct-23-05 09:45 AM by Bluebear
Anyone else UP TO HERE (pointing) with the new American Christian fundamentalist? They are really feeling their oats, apparently, and feel they can publish/say ANYTHING about people. I have rarely seen a 'commentary' that is wrong on so many levels as this one:

Walgreens' Wayward Wisdom -- Supporting Gay Games

(AgapePress) - Someone at Walgreens deserves a huge bonus for the idea to increase sales by helping drive events that result in the need for the company's drugs.

Next July, when the 2006 Gay Games take place in Chicago, historical precedent promises that homosexual encounters will take place by the thousands, in bars, public parks, and shopping mall restrooms. The Gay Games Social Committee almost guarantees it by stating on their website: "Chicago's LGBT scene is fierce no matter what time of year it is, but during that one week in July 2006, we are committed to making sure you have the time of your life."

This is where Walgreens' profiteers put their heads together to insure they get their piece of the pie. No doubt large numbers of gays will become exposed to HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. A glance at online pictures from past Gay Games' nightlife is a clear indication that the party scene is designed for "hooking up," with casual and anonymous sex in mind.

Walgreens must be salivating at the prospect of new customers this will create. And how better to become the official "drug dealer" of the Gay Games, than to donate $100,000 and become the top sponsor for incredible exposure? It's a brilliant marketing investment!

I imagine the sales pitch in Walgreens' corporate board room went something like this: "We know people are going to be spreading communicable diseases and a lot of them will eventually become very sick. If we show support for gays now, we stand to reap a ton of business in the not-too-distant future. Let's call it 'Walgreens' HIV/AIDS Awareness' so they'll think of us first when they need drugs."......

1. What do these people do in their spare time?
Write their names in their own shit, on the asylum walls? Because they are fucking crazy.

3. Sadly,
what they do in their spare time is the above campaign. I would prefer they play in their own shit.

4. Gay Games just sounds like a typical convention to me.
It's just that gays are more honest. What do you think happens at the AMA conference? APA? ADA? Repub/Dem Conventions? Pfft. There's so much "hooking up" going on they have to call in reinforcements from Las Vegas.

And as we know from Focus on the Family's "ex-gay liaison", even the Christians get into hooking up when they can. Hypocrites.

5. "making sure you have the time of your life"
I imagine a lot of people would put having some Chicago pizza, seeing the sites, competing in the events, dancing on Navy Pier...as the "time of your life" as well. only this pig writer is making the whole thing dirty.
