bush will not throw out first pitch in Chicago World Series
wonder why, he is the "Popular" president. I was going to watch just for the boos which would have been deafening. What a coward, but we knew that.

Bush is a douchebag and a coward.

EDIT: will he be delivering a first pitch when the games are played at "Enron Field"

3. That's my guess
He'll wait till he can do it in Texas, where the mouth-breathing faithful will cheer Little Nero.

Then the Astros "Kiss Cam" can catch another photo of Poppy and Babs playing tonsil hockey.

18. You should see the photo itself!
That took me off solid food for two solid days! Ack! :puke:

Took me to a place I REALLY didn't want to go: the night of W's conception.

Reminded me once again that George W. Bush is living proof that Roe v. Wade was decided a generation too late.

The poor folks seated in the bleachers will rip him a new one. Even in Texas, DimSon is barely holding on.

8. But does baseball love him?
"From baseball I developed a thick skin against criticism. I learned to overlook minor setbacks and focus on the long haul."

"I never dreamed about being President, I wanted to be Willie Mays."

33. the public hiding of the petulant president
cant risk that the curtain drops in public and he show his ugly nature to the ball park if he is confronted with any public show of opposition. Look for next to NO public appearances in the coming months.

2. I'm surprised...
...that he didn't throw out the first pitch from the comfort of a soundproof bubble with a blindfold on.

After all, he doesn't give a rat's hiney that he's hated. He just doesn't want his detractors to get any satisfaction from expressing a negative opinion of him.

10. Booooosh Wouldn't Show His Face In Chicago
Meeester booosh's last visit to Illinois was a day trip to sign a pork barrel bill with his bud Denny Hastert...one of the few Illinois Repugnicans he can still pal with.

He wouldn't stand a chance at "The Cell" with the working-class, Bridgeport crowd. But then he wouldn't fare much better with the Wrigleyville Cub fans either.

The White Sox are a truly Blue team...from Jerry Reinsdorf to Richie Daley to the players and fans.

25. My Bets: Richie Daley
There's no bigger Sox fans over the years than the Daley family. Richard J. set off the sirens and Richie M. grew up just blocks from the old and new ballparks.

There's no Sox fan who'd be more thrilled at the honor than hiz honor...da mayer...

I mean from your post it's like he's being excluded on purpose or he refused to do it. Is that the case?

Six times in 90 years (and not all of those were even "first game" first pitches.

2001 George W. Bush
1956 Dwight Eisenhower
1936 Franklin Roosevelt
1932 Franklin Roosevelt
1924 Calvin Coolidge
1915 Woodrow Wilson

26. Excellent Choice!
I just posted that I thought Richie Daley would have the honor, but glad to see "leeetle Louis" from the '59 team will get the honor.

Now, I know one President who will be rooting for the White Sox. Hugo Chavez.

And when the appointed time arrives and Commander Chickenshit is standing on the pitcher's mound... let them throw their baseballs at him.

I asked him if he was going to try to get into any of the games and he said that tickets were going for $1000+ on EBay. With prices like that you have to figure that *'s base will be well-represented.

41. its pretty rare for a prez to toss the 1st pitch in the world series
I'd read more into it if he was going to do it than the fact that he's not. In 90 years its been done only 6 times by 5 presidents:

2001 George W. Bush
1956 Dwight Eisenhower
1936 Franklin Roosevelt
1932 Franklin Roosevelt
1924 Calvin Coolidge
1915 Woodrow Wilson
