remember -fitzgerald has nothing to do with the indictments
the jury decides whether or not to indict persons called in front of the grand jury. after the grand jury decides the foreperson turns the indictments over to a judge or the circuit clerk..then all hell breaks loose..
so folks, this case will be decided by the evidence that fitz brought to the grand jury and the grand jury decision on what to do with it indictments or not. the fate of this government and maybe our democracy rests in the decision of ordinary american citizens.

1. i wouldn't say he has "nothing to do with the indictments"
he lays out who to indict, how many indictments, which statutes, and presents those requests to the grand jury, which consider each one and return true bill or no true bill on each.

i agree that saying "the prosecutor indicted the accused" would be wrong, but he certainly does have quite a lot to do with the indictments.

3. i wasn`t clear on that point
which i thank you for clarifying. i was in a grand jury once and the prosecutor had his case all laid out on who he wanted,i was just someone who was on the list. i actually had two jurors ask me questions...you never want to go in front of a grand jury!

Hey, those ads against Ronnie Earle worked great in Austin. Arrest warrant for DeLay issued today.
