Letter to the Editor - Iraq is God's war

Respectfully, Iraq is God's war, not ours, and our troops are not being injured and killed in vain.

President Bush may or may not have been in legal error concerning Iraq. God has used the mistakes of men before to accomplish his will.

Had we been in Europe fighting Hitler, the Japanese would have not attacked us. We, the people of the United States, must adjust our position with the United Nations concerning sadistic, psychopathic leaders who butcher and kill people at their whim. We should never tolerate this anywhere in the world.

Again, respectfully, in spite of the tremendous generosity of Americans, God could not allow our sins to go unnoticed. He doesn't bother to correct people he doesn't love. Osama Bin Laden attacked us on morals charges (even though that was a case of the pot calling the kettle black). We had been judged by God eight months prior to Sept. 11, 2001, for "corruption." Our sins stink to high heaven.

The Bible says to "see the way God does things and fall into line."

4. The churches are God's representatives on earth. Maybe they can pay for
this fiasco and send their own people in as soldiers. Let those soldiers who want out to come home.

5. Is everyone in this country fucking insane?
What has made them come out of the woodwork that way?? Was it the stress of 9/11? Was it the empty lives that most Americans live when they realize that happiness cannot be bought at Walmart? Or found in an SUV? Is that it? Is it the emptiness of running around day after day accomplishing nothing, then sitting down for some passive entertainment and drinking yourself to sleep?

I thank whomever is in charge up there that I was born a happy, stable, person. But I fear that so many people have lost it, and will never come back.

12. Shades of Alice's Restaurant
And I went up there, I said, "Shrink, I want to kill.
I mean, I wanna, I wanna kill. Kill.
I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and guts and veins in my teeth.
Eat dead burnt bodies.
I mean kill, Kill,KILL, KILL."
And I started jumpin up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL," and
he started jumpin up and down with me and we was both jumping up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL."
And the sargent came over, pinned a medal on me,
sent me down the hall, said, "You're our boy."

I walked in,
walked in sat down after a whole big thing there,
and I walked up and said, "What do you want?"
He said, "Kid, we only got one question.
Have you ever been arrested?"

And I proceeded to tell him the story of the Alice's Restaurant Massacre, with full orchestration and five part harmony and stuff like that and all the phenome... - and he stopped me right there and said, "Kid, did you ever go to court?"

And I proceeded to tell him the story of the twenty seven eight-by-ten
colour glossy pictures with the circles and arrows and the paragraph on the back of each one, and he stopped me right there and said,

"Kid, I want you to go and sit down on that bench that says Group W .... NOW kid!!"

<coincidence?>

And I, I walked over to the, to the bench there, and there is,
Group W's where they put you if you may not be moral enough to join the army after committing your special crime, and there was all kinds of mean nasty ugly looking people on the bench there.
Mother rapers. Father stabbers. Father rapers!
Father rapers sitting right there on the bench next to me!
And they was mean and nasty and ugly and horrible crime-type guys sitting on the bench next to me. And the meanest, ugliest, nastiest one, the meanest father raper of them all, was coming over to me and he was mean 'n' ugly 'n' nasty 'n' horrible and all kind of things and he sat down next to me and said, "Kid, whad'ya get?"
I said, "I didn't get nothing, I had to pay $50 and pick up the garbage."
He said, "What were you arrested for, kid?"
And I said, "Littering." And they all moved away from me on the bench
there, and the hairy eyeball and all kinds of mean nasty things, till I said, "And creating a nuisance." And they all came back, shook my hand, and we had a great time on the bench, talkin about crime, mother stabbing, father raping, all kinds of groovy things that we was talking about on the bench.

wanted a foreign military power to destroy the ancient near eastern land where civilzation began and ruin it beyond recognition, destroying every historical artifact and ruining the lives of the people who now inhabit it now... that makes perfect sense... :sarcasm:

These people make God sick. :puke:

9. "We had been judged by God eight months prior to Sept. 11, 2001"
I wonder, why were we judged by God at that particular time? The only thing significant I can think of that was going on at that the idiot son of an asshole was about to be inaugurated. Could that have been the last straw for God?

10. That must just make God's teeth itch
Okay, blaming it on the Democrats isn't working. So let's blame it on GOD.

I wouldn't tick off the Big Guy if I were them though. Could have repercussions, if you know what I mean.

11. She has a slim point on WWII...
... if the USA hadn't been so pacifist and weighed in on the side of the French and British in September 1939, then the Tripartite Pact of September 1940 between Germany, Italy and Japan might have never been signed. Germany and Japan had another pact which was the Anti-Comintern Pact but this was mainly about Russia attacking Germany or Japan, and mentioned nothing about the USA attacking anyone. The Tripartite Pact was meant as a means to persuade the USA to stay neutral - but Japan decided to attack the USA anyway... and hence Germany (and Italy) chose to declare war on the USA because of the Tripartite Pact.

But then again Japan might not have attacked the USA anyway; she was interested in empire building, and if the USA stayed neutral then she was free to go across SE Asia as she pleased.

But yep, the letter is just plain weird.
