My new indictment prediction: Wednesday, October 19 @ 8:45 AM EDT
Yep, this Wednesday. That's my new prediction, with multiple Administration officials being indicted on multiple charges, probably even Cheney. Treason is a potential charge, although Espionage is the most likely highest charge.

And as a bonus prediction: Bush WILL be named an unindicted co-conspirator.

This is gettin' good!

2. Walt, I have spent this weekend lowering my expectations.
I'll be thrilled if Rove & Libby are indicted with perjury and obstruction.

Please tell me...how good are your predictions?

3. Wednesday or Thursday.....
I think your close.....

And I think your right about it being multiple higher ups in the W-house and even Cheney and Bush being in the mix....

My only concern is I keep thinking what is this cabal of crooks going to do to "distract"?

5. I keep hearing 22 indictments
just for starters. Then indictment after indictment will start snowballing at an incredibly fast rate. God, I hope this is true. If it is, the Freepers can't ignore their criminal idols any longer.

I would love to see that!! I'm trying not to be too hopeful but I really don't see any way that Rove and Libby will be able to escape some kind of punishment. Of course, we all know they'll probably get Presidential pardons but at least they'll be branded as the criminals they are!

27. The Freepers will dismiss this as a lefty witchhunt.
I'm going to bet they will spin this as a "revenge" move on the part of the liberals for the Clinton impeachment. I don't think the Freepers, especially the hardcore ones, will believe a word of these indictments. Too much cognitive dissonance for the truly brain-washed and I don't have enough faith that the Freepers will be able to break out of their conditioning....

Remember, for the Freepers, they have been believing in Bush and this Admin for more than the 5 years they've been in office - they have the whole history of the campaign before that. Most of them have had at least 6+ years of that constant brainwashing PLUS they also have been hard-wired to believe that any criticism of the CIC amounts to hating America and being unpatriotic.

I know, I know, it makes no sense since the GJ and Fitzgerald are outside the "liberal witchhunting cabal" but I believe this will be their defense.

This may well be one of those moments that defines our history.
Those moments that we all remember where we were and what we were doing.
Where were you when........?
(JFK shot, Man on the moon, Nixon resigns, Space Shuttle disaster,
9/11 etc.
We have been waiting two years for this.
I want to believe that justice will be done.

IMHO.

My guess is Friday afternoon 21 Oct.

Other than that, I would guess along the same lines as you.

Specifics.

Condi and Crashcart may be the two biggies.
Rove/Libby both indicted.
Fleischer will be indicted for his part.

People from WHIG will be indicted other than Rove/Libby. Maybe mealy-mouthed liars Matalin and Hughes.

Somebody talked and will have been given immunity. Fleischer?

Big-time conspiracy charges. West Wing will be in shambles when this thing is over. WH will be in turmoil.

when you were a kid and you had done something wrong?
Rove and Libby have that feeling right now, just waiting for the spanking they so richly deserve. They're sitting in their respective townhouses, trying to avoid the web and cable news, hoping their respective bosses won't call them onto the carpet tomorrow morning.
Frog march, frog march, left right, left right frog march.

36. Espionage Act
You forgot the Espionage Act. If they caused the deaths of any of Valerie Plame's agents, they could face the death penalty.
There has been much speculation that they might be charged under the Espionage Act.
They will do anything to prevent this.

45. Not exactly, but...
We were at the hospital yesterday having a procedure done, and my wife and I both thought we saw a penis in the sonogram. We had been wanting to be surprised though, so no one has actually told us if this is true or not, but we feel pretty sure it's a boy.

Unfortunately, there are likely to be some complications if the baby doesn't turn; currently it's in a breech position. We have a wonderful OB who intends to attempt to do a vaginal breech birth (he's already done three of them this year!), but our likelyhood of having to have a C-section goes up considerably.

Thanks for your good thoughts. :)

52. My son was breech too
Are you going to attempt a version?

I went in for my version but they found out I had HELLP (severe pre-eclampsia) so I had to have an emergency c-section.

However, I was able to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section) with my daughter.

Best of luck and I hope everything goes smoothly!!

55. We did attempt a version, Saturday morning...
It was unsuccessful. :( We have a wonderful OB who is experience at doing vaginal breech births (he's done three already this year, all successful), and he's going to attempt one with us too. Of course, the likelihood of us having to have c-section goes up dramatically. Wouldn't be the end of the world though. Right now our biggest concern is getting a healthy normal baby that we know is "in there" "out here!" :)

40. My guess - a couple of indictments for perjury
I'm not so positive. I think maybe one of Libby or Rove will get hit with perjury & then resign. And, probably somebody in the librul media.

Then, Libby or Rove will take a low profile job somewhere else in Washington and later quietly get pardoned some time after the '06 elections. Bush will justify it by saying it will be to undo the damage done by an out of control prosecutor.

53. IMPOSSIBLE
if Rove committed perjury, then he also illegally outed Plame. Can't have one without the other. The perjury charge will be from first claiming he was not involved. When he later changed his story he admitted he leaked, this opened him up to perjury AND the original crime of outing Plame. there is no way to have one without the other.
