and his cadre were'nt in charge during the Cold War, we would be missing large parts of the world! It's the author's thesis that a rogue Soviet sub equipted with nuclear missiles tried to destroy Honolulu so that we would think China had done it. Suslov and Andropov hated Mao so much they were willing to risk nuclear war. (Suslov was the sociopathic Idealogue of the Communist Party who had already murdered several million people before and during Stalin's reign. As a matter of fact, it's believed he poisoned Stalin.) If you're old enough to remember the Glomar Explorer built by Howard Hughes ostensibly for mining manganese nodules from the ocean floor, they were actually recovering this Soviet sub, K129. :scared:
