Frugal & Energy Effecient Living Group
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 01:54 AM by lildreamer316
A few of us started this group a few weeks ago, but have been so overwhelmed with Katrina and gas prices (too busy actually trying to save than talking about trying to save) to promote this. The idea grew out of a thread on couponing, of all things. Considering the $3 gas; it seems ideas for conserving are coming out of the woodwork here. Please everyone consider this group a clearinghouse to post all of your relevant frugal/conserving links. We need input! Come on over and let's get some good resources listed.
And you really won't believe how grateful I've been just for the couponing tips! SO and I have been eating out of our fridge and cabinet exclusively for a month and a half now. That is a new record for us (he was fast food addicted). Has really helped since all our extra money has been going into the gas tank........

3. i consider myself frugal, but i try to spend my money welll,
not necessarily on the inexpensive stuff, but on things that make a difference, like organic foods and clothing when possible. c i'm proud to say i've never spent so much as a red cent in a wal-mart. so things like coupons,99% of which are for processed junk just don't do me any good. but happy saving, just think about the overall cost and the cost to the planet as well, that's all i ask.

7. it could also be a good place to
talk about some other consuming concerns, such as 'buying blue,' and
consumer advocacy.
