Frist, DeLay, heating costs up 65% for winter, illegal payments to news
Mayors in Texas and Louisiana slamming FEMA and feds over Rita lack of response... etc. etc. etc.

I wish I thought it mattered and that it meant the end for the * crime collective but somehow I think they will slither out of every charge.

Iran talking about not selling oil to us if sanctions go into place. the whitehouse talking about the need for action on syria and iran. state department assuring everyone that there are no plans to invade Venezuela? Oh - and everyone ignoring the stories by several officers about continued torture in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Then the stories about how "coalition" forces control so little of iraq.

I think * will start another war to keep his war prez mojo going. I think we will be spreading a little more of the shock-n-awe action in the middle east - not just Fallujah-ing more towns in Iraq - been there,
done that (again and again). Amazingly enough our military is so good that they assure us (again this morning after their little ol' Iron Fist assault) that NO CIVILIANS were killed. Everyone who dies is by default a terrorist! wow.

Give me hope. Please?

1. Let me get this straight
The administration expects people to sell us oil after we've threatened invasion, threatened sanctions, threatened to assasinate their leaders and called them every name in the book - after all that, they expect them to sell us oil?? What is wrong with us? What kind of complex do you have when you think you can do anything and people will still think we're great guys? It's amazing what they think they can get away with, but then again, so far they have gotten away with it.

3. I don't know
It's possible, but it doesn't seem likely without the adjoining step of severly redoing the government. As it stands now he needs Congressional approval to invade Syria (assuming that's what it would be), and it'd be a hard sell right now.

Still, it's hard to over estimate the arrogance of Bush and his pals.
