From: George W Bush

Great stuff there. Nice little tune. Haven't heard it, just saw the lyrics. I think they are good, but that could be because I am a complete idiot (as you may know, if you have seen me speak). But, as you know, I like a good song. Is this a good drinking song? I love a good drink. Maybe you boys can come to my ranch and perform it for me.

By the way, you look like a fine young group of healthy feallas. We need people like you supporting the troops. In fact, we could use you in Iraq. Might have to put down the guitars and pick up a gun though. I need you to defend America and spread Democracy. I know you believe in it.

Now, of course, if you don't want to actually stand up for what you claim to believe in, that's fine. I never did. Neither did Cheney. Hell, I ditched my Air Guard unit the first time they asked me to take a medical exam. And Cheney, he had other priorities.

Keep singin, and keep fighting the good fight (without actually, you know, fighting). And whatever those liberal traitors may tell you, remeber: you are not just a bunch of pathetic, sleazy, sycophantic cowards.

Your President:

George Dubya Bush

LOL I hope they post it.

What a disgusting song. I guess this guy didn't get the memo that we created Saddam Hussein? No? Why do they have an upside down flag as their icon on their page? And about Al-Quida before we went into Iraq they were in fourty countries and now in over sixty. Hmm going quite well eh? And where is Usama BinLaden at anyways? Someday when they learn the truth they will be sorry they wrote that piece of crap song. Oh of course they have to mention Ted Kennedy. :eyes: Can they not do anything without mentioning Ted or Clinton? And of course Cindy Sheehan. :eyes: And of course France bashing. What a disgusting song.

13. Here are the pathetic, sycophantic, and mildly nauseating lyrics
Freedom in Afghanistan, say goodbye Taliban
Free elections in Iraq, Saddam Hussein locked up
Osama’s staying underground, Al Qaida now is finding out
America won’t turn and run once the fighting has begun
Libya turns over nukes, Lebanese want freedom, too
Syria is forced to leave, don’t you know that all this means

Chorus
Bush was right!
Bush was right!
Bush was right!

Democracy is on the way, hitting like a tidal wave
All over the middle east, dictators walk with shaky knees
Don’t know what they’re gonna do, their worst nightmare is coming true
They fear the domino effect, they’re all wondering who’s next

Repeat Chorus

Ted Kennedy – wrong!
Cindy Sheehan – wrong!
France – wrong!
Zell Miller – right!

Economy is on the rise kicking into overdrive
Angry liberals can't believe it's cause of W's policies
Unemployment's staying down, Democrats are wondering how
Revenue is going up, can you say "Tax Cuts"

Repeat Chorus

Cheney was right, Condi was right, Rummy was right, Blair was right
You were right, we were right, “The Right” was right and Bush was right
Bush was right!
Bush was right!

Could be a combination of all of those.

Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 01:08 PM by SheWhoMustBeObeyed
Brownie did a great job, but that's not what Geraldo sobbed
Blanco, Nagin are to blame - but not for outing Valerie Plame
Pete's indictments comin' down, George's job approval drowns
And Doctah Frist and Hammer may be headed for the slammer

Bush was tight!
Bush was tight!
Bush was tight!

Gas prices on the rise, unemployment claims likewise
Here comes more Abu Ghraib, doubt we'll see a "President Jeb"
Dick and Karl's medical things leave George with broken puppet strings
GOPers jumpin' team, time to turn to old Jim Beam

Bush was tight!
Bush was tight!
Bush was tight!

:D

I just listened to the promo--it's so "We Didn't Start the Fire"--it's not funny. Sorry guys, your lyrics are horrible and you have to steal your ideas from Billy Joel. Get a day job!

Edit: I'm sorry I didn't read far enough into this thread to see how many others also heard the Billy Joel song similarities. What can I say..."where there's smoke....."?

Seriously, this song is a rip off. They should be prosecuted.

of Joel's song. I thought it was simply a spoof until I saw "Written by: Frank Highland".
The song is exactly the same as Joel's.
I'm working on a new tune called "Sergeant Cheney's Lonely Hearts Club Band".
I hope Paul McCartney doesn't mind when I claim the writing credit!

26. Interesting that they sing Bush "was" right... instead of "is"...
The central theme of the song tends to finger-paint a world view much like a six year old child might. The band's lyrical listing of accomplishments and their respective varying degrees of success and failure tend to only serve the purpose of refueling and, potentially, igniting the passions of a crowd whose members are bereft of self-confidence and mired in doubt. These peoples' leaders have failed them. Their last and only recourse is to madly throw lyrical barbs blithely into the face of innocent passers-by.

That said, I think what's most telling about their condition is how they chose to say "Bush was right" instead of "Bush is right".

30. One guy on their site really nailed them:
My first impression was that you guys were just dumb. Your lyrics are painfully simple and simplistic, your music hopelessly derivative and unoriginal, but I now realize that you guys are brilliant. Your target audience is incapable of or unwilling to engage in critical thought, so you can't use any 'big' words or ideas - that's smart marketing. You're just puppets dancing to someone else's string-pulling of course, but you do it very well.

You claim to be supporting "your country." when of course, you're merely supporting the political ideology of an administration that is temporary custodian (and not a very good one) of that country. It's not unlike joining the SS in a misguided belief that that would support Germany. Come to think of it, the propoganda technique is disturbingly similar: Claim that only your views are patriotic, demonize the opposition and characterize all critical thought as being somehow evil or, in this case, "unamerican." Sadly, enough of our citizens are poorly educated and willfully ignorant enough to buy into that. (An educated society would reject a leader that couldn't pronounce "nuclear" and refused to recognize that "malfeance" and "subliminable" aren't really words.) So I now realize that yu guys aren't hopelessly dumb, you're merely pandering to an audience that IS hopelessly dumb. It's brilliant. Cynical as all get out, but brilliant.

31. Couldn't help myself, had to send another email:
"Does Tim Robbins know that you are stealing his act? What did you do, sit down, watch Bob Roberts, and fail to recognize that the main character was not a good person. Hell, when he taps his foot at the end, you probably shouted "It's a miracle!"

So, did you see the character's method of writing really lame songs that play to the worst of right wing stereotypes, and then think, "Hey, what if we did that, but made sure that our songs really really suck?"

If you are going to worship a moron, at least find a creative way to do it.

BTW, just out of curiosity: Is it difficult to sing with Bush's dick in your mouth?

This "right" thing has gotten my goat for quite some time.

61. "All over the middle east, dictators walk with shaky knees"
That's my favorite line.

Man, is that song awful - it's like something that someone would come up with to make fun of Bush, and these morans see it as uplifting!

63. Actually Bush Himself Has Been Shaky Lately, HiCcuP!
A couple of times Laura looked like she was holding him up. I had to laugh this morning on Steph Miller when they played that clip of him saying he was "gonna proteck the nukyoolar pants." PANTS! That's exactly what he said -- they were asking if he wears his tuff free-dumb jackboots with the nukyoolar pants, LOL!

"Well Dick, I give it a minus 10. You can't dance to it because it makes you vomit and then you'd slip and fall andand hurt yourself."

68. And now for a rebuttal, in poorly composed poetry-prose. Took FOREVER.
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 06:06 PM by Splatter Phoenix
Freedom in Afghanistan, say goodbye Taliban

"Though we sought to retrieve Osama's head
We're fairly sure by now he's dead
And we wouldn't want to find him now
We've sown the seeds of "freedom" to plough"

Free elections in Iraq, Saddam Hussein locked up

"Though he was put in place by the good old USA
And women in Iraq can't fucking vote anyway"

Osama’s staying underground, Al Qaida now is finding out

"Oh you remember that Osama fellow, do you
We seek Iraqi FREEDOM now, or would you argue
That what we sought to do there was less than just
And letting him slip away from our fingers seemed a must"

America won’t turn and run once the fighting has begun

"As in Vietnam, which I profess I hate to open wounds
With 58,226 American soldiers that lie entombed
250,000 plus South Vietnams and countless MIAs,
And guess what, America FINALLY turned tail to run away
And did not stand to fight as you chickenhawks would so elate
In fact, we lingered far too long and left ten years too late"

Libya turns over nukes, Lebanese want freedom, too

"And North Korea flaunts its nukes to the USA, it appears
While we sing "not liiiiisteniiiiing" with our fingers in our ears"

Syria is forced to leave, don’t you know that all this means
Bush was right!

"Let's indict"

Bush was right!

"Not even in hindsight"

Bush was right!

"Let's divide, not unite"

Democracy is on the way, hitting like a tidal wave

"Of blood and bones and bodies blasted to bits
Of tears and sweat and Gulf coast corpses caked in shit!"

All over the middle east, dictators walk with shaky knees

"Well, the Saudi Arabian leaders can do just as they please
They are as certainly conspiring in bed with the Bush mafia
As surely as the scientists now artificially insemnating Chinese pandas"

Don’t know what they’re gonna do, their worst nightmare is coming true

"What, that they haven't enough oil to bring to bear to feed
The gas-guzzling SUV whoring American greed?"

They fear the domino effect, they’re all wondering who’s next

"It's fairly simple to inform them (or perhaps my hat's of tinfoil)
They're safe as the dictators in Africa if they all lack substantial oil"

Bush was right!

"His alibi's airtight!"

Bush was right!

"it's just more terror we invite!"

Bush was right!

"And turns to ash in sunlight!"

Ted Kennedy – wrong!

"Far less so than your song!"

Cindy Sheehan – wrong!

"Lost her son, you fucked-up dong"

France – wrong!

"They just knew the evil all along"

Zell Miller – right!

"A Faux News whore... alright"

Economy is on the rise kicking into overdrive

"If by overdrive you sing to substitute "nosedive"
As the economy dipped lower than it's been since FIFTY-NINE in '01
I'd say our cokehead prez still has quite a bit of work to get done"

Angry liberals can't believe it's cause of W's policies

"Actually we're quite quick to know the truth and accept
Our glorious have-a-beer-with leader is totally inept"

Unemployment's staying down, Democrats are wondering how

"Okay, that's enough, you're just outright lying now."

Revenue is going up, can you say "Tax Cuts"

"No, but I can say George Dubya Bush sluts
And though to you the pronunciation may seem bizarre
I can say the word correctly that he says "new-cue-lahr""

Bush was right!

"You must be high as a kite"

Bush was right!

"Or say it out of spite"

Bush was right!

"Why this country's waist-deep in shite"

Cheney was right

"The WMDs are... hidden out of sight?"

Condi was right

"Lord help me see the light"

Rummy was right

"Though lately they all look off white"

Blair was right

"just an ass-licking tiny termite"

You were right,

"Now you admit it outright?"

we were right

"I can no longer be polite..."

“The Right” was right and Bush was right

"And you're such a sorry sight"

Bush was right!

"now it's just becoming trite"

Bush was right!

"BREAKING NEWS!
Code ORANGE!
to ward away the boogyman
We suggest all Americans can
Duck up their windows at night
and hunker down, 'cuz Bush was RIGHT!
And as we all well know here in
The United States governmin'
Might
Might
Might makes right!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

Here's hoping Delay was just the beginning.
