5. Here's what CNN is posting
at CNN International...

More than 2,000 people gathered on the Ellipse hours before the showcase demonstration past the White House, the first wave of what organizers said would be the largest Washington rally since the war began.

Ridiculous

18. Good question.

Anyone watching C-SPAN now would see a rag-tag bunch of people listening to a few speakers. The majority of people are now marching; why aren't the cameras on them?

8. Well, I just rewound my Tivo/DVR, tuned to CNN, an hour back.
Not a single word about the march in the last hour. Not even at the top of the hour did they mention it.

city from traffic cams...!!!

No wonder you're pissed off!

13. I heard over 250K with tons of people still coming from all directions
so looks like the count is still iffy right now. From the street cams it looks like well over 150K.

14. A quarter of a million people and not one corporate TV news show can
be bothered to report it and give us some REAL news. Bunch of corporate whores. I'm so pissed. The first one of them to give me a helo shot of the protesters surrounding the WH I will be their viewer for life I swear.

19. Well we should all send them email after email to find out
why they are not covering the march given the number of anti-war protesters. We should all save those traffic cam pix because people are spilling over into several streets.

17. Pitt just posted the CNN story on his blog
CNN is estimating the crowd here to be more than six hundred thousand strong.

If CNN says it, it must be true.

Wow.

http://www.truthout.org/campcaseydc.shtml

Could it be CNN International?

28. That must just be a rumor circulating through the crowd...
... because, I'm tellin' ya, I rewound CNN back one hour and they never once even mentioned the rally, let alone the turnout.

Interesting rumor, though.

23. Headline CNN reported "organizers estimate 100K" about 10min ago.
Headline News did not comment on the current crowd numbers, but only reported that "organizers estimate that 100K will attend." Also, they have paired this sneaky wording with visual of the most sparsely populated areas of the rally field. Complete bullshit...

27. Good! Everytime they do this they discredit themselves. Once you realize
they are lying you don't go to them for information. And they wonder why their viewers numbers are dropping.
