Computer Experts Fear Fraud in Recall
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2003/10/6/155608.shtml

As an IT support professonial, I would not trust any computer based voting system which does not have a voter verified paper trail.

I have yet to see any techie or programmer, who doesn't work for Diebold, et al, disagree with you.

3. So does any reasonable person
I would rather mark 'x' in a box,

ANYTHING with a paper trail that makes vote fraud harder.

4. Exactly...
all these machines need is a printer so one could verify their vote and drop it in the ballot box.

5. My suspicion is:
I don't think that they will try anything so blatant as to actually CHANGE the end result of the recall vote; what I think is far more likely is that they will manipulate small numbers of votes in many precincts just to see if they can escape detection, as a 'dry run' for the MASSIVE fraud they plan for 2004.

6. 40% of vote will be via punch card and hanging chads!
and given the fraud likely with touch screen voting (we have had such interesting upsets that put in question exit polls - always with touch screens from Senator Hagel's company and friends - and always the GOP winning), the punch cards may be the honest part of the vote.

And with perhaps 50% turnout - 6 million votes - there are already 1.6 million collected absentee votes that will not reflect the Arnold scandals.
