From the "they don't get much more stupid than this" department
Lisa Daniels ( a new little blonde twit on MSNBC) came up with some of the lamest excuses I have ever heard for monkey boy.
DANIELS: The white folks still in the Quarter, in the French Quarter. They are not blaming President Bush. They told me directly. They're blaming New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin. But they are not blaming this man. They think he cares

snip

DANIELS: All right. Being down in New Orleans for two weeks, I think it's actually worse than the TV pictures actually show. But that said, expectations are so bad right now -- that it's going to take so long for the water to be pumped out, that there are 10,000 dead bodies there -- that this is actually, Howard , going to be a win for President Bush.

snip

MATTHEWS: They've lowballed it brilliantly.

DANIELS: And that's exactly what President Bush does best.

A box of rocks are smarter than her
:puke:

5. The inexperienced & nubile broadcasters seem to pull out that
Wonder Woman Prism from the Golden Belt and insist that the interview must be done in black and white through the prism.

When Ariana H was talking to one such person about how NOLA evacuees should not accept a one time 20,000 settlement - the interviewer dragged out "okay - so you want them on welfare".

As if that is what Arri anna wanted.

As if there are not so many more and nuanced ways of helping people get back on their feet and starting new lives.

7. Arianna should have talked about the monies handed out in Florida.
That would have been a good comeback.

9. Hard to do when the interviewer is forcing answers on you without
any shame whatsoever.

10. I know, they throw you off-balance with their illogical rebuttals.
So it's a bit dizzying for the "reality-based" among us.

Still, Arianna should prepare herself better--think ahead a little, realize their talking points.

I could have told her they'd be treating the monies for the evacuees as "welfare", couldn't you?

12. Hey, it's all political, remember?
"I do agree that the tsunami was a wonderful opportunity to show not just the US government, but the heart of the American people, and I think it has paid great dividends for us," she (Rice) said.
