The MAJOR reason why this country is in the shape it is -- MEDIA
They sold out to corporations and THEIR interests years ago.

Where do you begin:

* the avalanche of RW hate radio has "programmed robot thinking"

* the 6 corporation that own our media only care about $$$$$$$$ & power

* the reporters enjoy "celebritism" and give a shit about what happens

* the TV "hackfest" is as bad as radio and "tells people how to think"

When "the truth of corporatism" slaps them in the face it temporarily awakes them ... only to have corp TV & radio to tell them how to think again.

Dean was crushed becuase he spoke out against corp. media power and TPTB enjoy "ignorant people" to control.

1. Amen. They get rid of whoever
they want -- Dean, Perot, etc. We let them control and manipulate us, or at least the ones who do not think or research beyond what they are fed do... I do think we semi-won the battle over Bush's public image -- not matter how much they've tried to make him look so great, there were just too many of us irate and not buying it. So glad they're finally seeing that & trying to backtrack a little. It's sick what the "news" has become.

8. I've always been amazed at how willing they were to
shamelessly prop up Bush. It was so obvious how incompetent he was from the start. Yet they don't care who dies or gets their lives ruined because of horrible policies or negligence, the most important thing has always been to prop up the boy-king.

I have never been able to wrap my head around the whole thing.

2. The M$M should be charged with Crimes Against Humanity
along with every member of the Bush Administration.

One could not exist without the other.

5. THEY are huge reason for any loss of life in Iraq and the crumbling
social safety nets in the US

They refuse to report the facts of surplus Soc Sec spending

Refuse to call politcians "liars" and present them with facts

We gave them our eyes and ears ....and they have screwed America

6. Yep. Without a real media, there is no more usa
I remember when they prided themselves on being the 'watchdogs of government'.

They are now the lapdogs of government.

If they reported on what bush was really like before 2000, the SOB would have never been sElected.

9. "The media is like the weather, only it's man-made"
Great quote from Natural Born Killers. And oh-so-true. And they know full well the power they have.

10. Don't forget the Congress which has largely become an arm of the Bush
junta, rubber-stamping his almost every whim in near lockstep fashion and abrogating virtually their every constitutionally-mandated prerequisite and and prerogative.

of 9/11. NEVER!!!! We were told so much verifiable bullshit and they never asked a single probative question. I don't care how well they cover this story, they are and will remain to me, traitors to their country...hear that Anderson?

13. interesting how they cover 911 vs katrina...I think there is a reason
and it's a much larger issue that I can't go into detail except to say:

FEMA did not respond to Katrina like the other recent hurricanes...glaringly different.

That is THE STORY
