Cheney's Response to "Go Fuck Yourself " was Despicable.
Totally inappropriate, just like Babs. Proved once again that he has nothing but contempt for anyone but his cronies.

People are understandably upset, angry and scared. Instead of acting like the Vice President of the United States (let alone a mature adult), and acknowledging the guy might have a few reasons for being so angry, he sneered and made a childish comment about the person "being a friend of John's, heh-heh-heh." Yeah, that was really funny Dick. I'm sure all those people who lost everything really enjoyed listening to you bash John Kerry.

Well, I might not be a big fan of Kerry these days, but I will say this. Kerry would have had shown some empathy. At the very least he would have acknowledged that people had a right to be angry, and who knows, he might have attempted to personally speak to the guy.

But no, we get an immature, spiteful man, who wouldn't know compassion if it hit him in the face. BTW, the CNN reporter just mentioned Cheney was in Mississippi, but made no reference to the "Go Fuck Yourself" comment. :grr:

1. Hmmm. There's an idea...
"But no, we get an immature, spiteful man, who wouldn't know compassion if it hit him in the face."

Nah. Wouldn't want to appear "immature and spiteful."

2. Someone telling the VP to "go fuck himself" is a big story
If the media doesn't at least report what happened to the guy, they failed. A real media would have turned their cameras and reported the full story, who, what and why.

3. I'm no fan of Kerry either, but JK would have stepped up to the plate.
Kerry is a proven leader who could have saved a lot of lives. He wouldn't have been strumming a guitar while people died.

And for the record, Gore wouldn't have kept reading "My Pet Goat" as America was attacked.

Just when I think this Administration can't get any lower, they regurgitate more crap.

7. For the record
9/11 probably wouldn't have happened if we had Al Gore. He wouldn't have been on vacation for 40% of the time and ignoring memo's.

..."Go fuck yourself" is usually what Cheney says to us common folks, not the other way around ... (ask Joe Biden)

6. Why do they still even think about Kerry?
I don't, and I voted for the guy. . .

To them the contest continues because they are still trying make sure they get away with the fraud. Every day they have to check and make sure the obstructions to the truth are still holding.

If they won in a real election they wouldn't still be thinking about him at all.

20. Only a question of time...
...before their levee, constructed of lies and deceit, holding back the floodwaters of truth gives way to a massive breach. Their illegitimacy will then be laid bare for all to see.

22. I dont think they do really, it was a "clever" diversion

to get people to think that the comment was about party politics and not the feds response to the disaster.

and I use the term clever loosely.

12. It's infuriating.
How dare this pig of a man smirk and chuckle it off like that. And begin to make political hay out of it...before stopping himself. How dare he? It's moments like this where you just become so filled with rage, you think your head is going to explode.

He never seemed to be offended or afraid of those who were against him from what I remember

18. Yes he used humor to make fun of the paid hecklers. At least once or
twice invited them down to the podium to come speak to the crowd and let them know what their concerns were. They declined of course, since they were only there to shout and make trouble.

19. nauseating
But he did this deliberately.

Implying that anyone who is angry at His Highness must be a partisan Democrat - and not just an American hurting and in pain - is typical of this administration. There are no valid criticisms, he's saying, just angry Democrats.

Nothing to see here, move along.

heard that before."

Maybe not, but you've sure said it enough time, you dirtbag.

24. You know, this is incredibly encouraging. When you have such
wide-spread contempt and anger - across the political landscape - that and individual takes it upon himself to express what he knows millions are feeling... It is a good sign; now these fuckers are fair game for heckling and derision whenever they venture out into the open (which will probably be less and less as the "bunker" mentality sets in)...Heh, heh, heh...

25. Apparently, Cheney's body has been in a cryogenic freeze
since November, so when they thawed him out for today's photo op, the first word out of his mouth was "Kerry."

;)
