In honor of the Heroes...

Could you please post here a story you heard in the past week that tells of something heroic that someone did that you won't ever forget. It doesn't have to be a grand thing, every hero counts.

For me, I'll never forget reading about the woman who accompanied her 105 year old friend to the superdome and did not leave her side through all of that misery. I say friend, I believe she was technically her nurse but her dedication to her was more on the level of friendship or family. When she was standing in line to finally get on a bus with her, her first thoughts were not for herself but getting her friend somewhere safe where should could get her cleaned up. We would all be blessed to have a friend like that.

My hat is also of to every single person on the New Orleans Police Department. A person should never have to go through what they did, with as little help as they did. I hope they all get counseling and are able to find some peace as soon as possible, given the circumstances.
