There goes the neighborhood. "Cabinet secretaries to visit Gulf Coast"
By Mark Felsenthal

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Three U.S. Cabinet secretaries and another high-ranking government official will visit areas affected by Hurricane Katrina amid criticism of the Bush administration's handling of the storm and its aftermath.

Treasury Secretary John Snow, Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, Labor Secretary Elaine Chao and Social Security Commissioner Jo Anne Barnhart will travel to Houston, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Mobile, Alabama, to see relief facilities and hear about damage and recovery efforts on Thursday and Friday.

Thousands of people were already feared dead from the storm that ravaged the Gulf Coast on August 29 and the flooding that overwhelmed New Orleans in the days after.

I guess Condi didn't want to muddy up her new shoes. What good is this going to do now? Where the H were they before the hurricane to make sure FEMA was ready to do its job when the time came? These are the most useless bureaucrats on the face of this earth. It's time to fire them.

5. Don't they know they'll just get in the way and slow things down?

As if things aren't bogged down enough already.

People down there are trying to get things done. They don't have time for VIP tourists.

7. I don't think they' get the security banjo boy gets.
They won't be taken to any of the hot spots either. Think Potemkin villages. They will be shown what they want to see, not the reality.
