I just got off the phone , ordering propane for my house
I have a 1000 gal tank and wanted to top it off before prices took off. She told me $1.69 a gal. I asked how have the prices been lately.
She told me they went up a nickle last week. Then came "OMG" it just went up 10 cents, Oh no its still going up" She told me I was locked in a $ 1.69 Gal, luckily.

1. Oh Shit
We have natural gas, and I was going to look into propane as an alternative to the shanking we suffered last winter.

Now I guess with price gouging and Katrina, that's probably an exercizse in futility. "Snooze and Looze."

2. Ya, I just ordered yesterday
The lady was extremely nice as we typically top off for the winter, but after finding out that it was 1.59, I told her we would fill it up. We have a 1000 gallon tank too, so we are paying alot this winter but a full tank can last us for 2 years.

She also said that she was surprised that the price was that low. I would be afraid to find out what it is like today.

I am glad we got locked in when we did.
