FOX this morning busting on Dennis Miller "He makes me feel stupid"
E.D. Hill the morning blonde was going off about how Dennis Miller uses too many big words and words no one has heard of. She said that he makes he feel stupid and there has to be a way to say the same thing so that MOST people will understand it. She asked the "News" reader (Lauren?) if she understood Miller and she said, "Not without a dictionary". Both of the guys (Douchebag and Killme) were flailing about (literally), she apparently didn't get the memo that Miller is one of theirs now and that they are supposed to trumpet him.

It was hilarious to watch. She basically admitted that Miller is over her and most Fox News watchers heads. If that is the case Dennis just made a huge career mistake. I thought I heard one of them say he is getting a show on Fox, I could be wrong.

6. which is why it is so very sad that he is over the heads
of most Fox viewers.

Actually, I used to think he was pretty smart and halfway intelligent. But I don't get how he used to make fun of sports and then ended up as some kind of commentator?

3. e.d. hill feels stupid??
Someone else has to make her feel stupid? She's a fucking idiot. Yo, E.D. if you weren't a moron you wouldn't be working for Faux, but since you are a moron you would not understand the connection.

4. Just because Miller can talk about Hannibal and his elephants
Edited on Tue Jul-15-03 09:12 AM by Loonman
That doesn't mean he's smart, just means he can make obscure references.

5. How Sad
Did sticking it to both parties as a comedian just not appeal to Miller anymore? Did he REALLY like that dividend tax break? Did the mean Hollywood liberals poo on him one too many times? What a sellout. What a sad, sad, sellout.

Not surprising that Dennis was too over the heads of the Foxies. At least facing this direction his audience will understand him without furiously flipping through the dictionary looking for every word he uses.

Here's one for you, Dennis: Do you know why there are no literate, critically-thinking conservatives? Because those people are called liberals you stinking kapo.

7. Since the average FAUX viewer has an IQ of about 50,
why should the on-air "talent" be any different? Many * lovers and * himself don't understand "big" words. Welcome to Dogpatch Mr. Miller.

9. Millers references...
His humor never was very funny because of his incessant use of references both arcane and common. I saw him live in the 80's and he was *funny* and didn't totally rely on those references. There were a couple of times when he would go really crazy with them and the rant would be funny, but often it wasn't.

He used to rail against Reagan and Bush 1. That's why he's such a whore. To jump start a failing career, he took the easy way out, the sure paycheck, and became a Rush/Hannity comedian.

Too bad.

11. He sees the $$$ that the Conservatives will throw at you
I'm not saying that makes it okay (yes he is a sell-out) but look at how they have created/propped up the likes of Hannity, Coulter, O'Reilly, etc.

Miller is not that smart it is just the references but he is the anti-thesis of the Repube model, shrinking things down to a catch phrase for public consumption.

10. it was an attempt at flattery
A bimbo's attempt to be sure, but it was flattery. She knows he is one of them, so she is gushing about how "smart" he is, not only to flatter him, but to flatter Fox viewers who welcome him to their darkness with a warm embrace (mind you, a manly heterosexual embrace, Faux doesn't want any of you sodomites around!), and to smugly self-congratulate themselves on him being "one of us". :eyes:

12. It didn't come off as flattery
Maybe you had a different take on it (where you watching?) but she was just going off and was out of control. The guys reactions were the best because they could see that she had gone off script and was out over her skis.

13. I'll take your word for it
I defer to you because you actually saw it. There is NO WAY IN HELL I could stomach Fox for even a nanosecond.

I guess what made me think it was flattery is I have seen programs on other channels where the talk show host gushes over a "smart" guest. It just reminded me of that!

No harm done. :-)

BTW, how does Alaska and Hawaii feel about being left out of your US map?? Huh?? :o

Miller is a snob and deserves to be where he is. He has hitched his wagon to the wrong star IMHO

16. anti-intellectualism is RW gospel
Why did Dennis think he could escape his past when he joined the Dark Side? The stupid haters in the GOP will destroy him for who he was 15 years ago and ignore the mask he's wearing today (they're way behind the times, you know) Doesn't matter how conservative his schtick/rhetoric is. Maybe they decided he's a mole and should be driven out.

18. the "blonde" made an obvious mistake
She heard that Dennis Miller was supposed to be a comedian, hence funny, and when she didn't find him funny, she assumed it was because he used too many big words, and that she had missed the joke.

It's okay sweetie, he's really NOT funny, and there is no humor there to miss. That pimple has never been funny.

So it should come as no surprise that a pseudo-literate, unfunny, hey-maybe-if-I-love-on-bush-I’ll-get-a-job-on-FOX has been reaffirms her dim-bulbism.

22. Oh, Bill Hicks, Where Art Thou?
If he were alive today, he'd probably be in GITMO.

Hill would be reduced to a drooling imbecile if she ever heard Hicks, and not because he used big words, but because he spoke the Truth (anathema at FOX).

You ain't on PBS. Can the Gabriel Garcia Marquez references. That's like Billy McKinney asking Ned Beatty out for a romantic dinner. Love, Roger.

(If Brian Kilmeade blew into E.D. (name du jour)'s ear, would Doocy get a face full of hot air?)

25. And she's a "reporter".
After seeing her (second) wedding dress, I wondered if she had one whit of sense in her head.

Hearing that Dennis Miller, of all people, is over her head, that just confirms it. An Eddie Izzard show would make her brain explode! Yikes!
