Why do only 2 in 5 people believe that Bush should be impeached?
More than "two-in-five voters (42%) say they would favor impeachment proceedings if it is found the President misled the nation about his reasons for going to war with Iraq," according to a recent Zogby Poll.

Isn't this one of the greatest atrocities a world leader can commit? It seems to me that a hell of a lot more than 42% should be in favor of impeachment.

2. Some will follow Shrub off the edge no matter what!
I think some others remember Watergate, Iran Contra, Whitewater, and they are just tired of all of it!

Then there's a third group who just CAN'T see it ever happening with the Pubs in total control, and they have an I can't do anything anyway attatude.

3. because 51% voted for him
and would feel bad about themselves if he were impeached :eyes:. The remaining 7% probably just don't want to have to go through an impeachment and would be happy to just ignore the past few years if bush would just pull out of the war

4. Only 1 in 10 has a handle on the facts.
If the people knew the extent that these traitors defrauded them, the results of that poll would be far different!!!

a couple of times.

McKinley with "Remember the Maine"

Johnson with the "Gulf of Tonkin"

The precedent for lying the United States into war is there.

:wow: A tech had no idea HP bought out Compaq or that Compaq had ever made PDAs.

:wow: One clerk told another clerk when I brought in a product needing servicing. She said the date, emphasizing the year. The warranty was 2 years. The clerk, when hearing the date, had to then MANUALLY COUNT the time even though it'd be obvious to a toadstool it was 1 year 7 months. ("04" just wasn't enough for him to determine "2 years" when, lo and behold, the year is "05")

:wow: Another person, fond of Bill Gates and other executives, said "there's a job out there for every one." I'd loooooooooove to matchmake him with good ol' Carly Fiorina. (oh, google her name plus the key words "american", "God", and "job"...)

:wow: Another respects Condoleeze Rice. Isn't that enough?!

11. Some thoughts about those who support Bush..
Some are not going to listen to reason no matter what. It is like a game for them to bash those who bash Bush. The big difference is that the progressives have a sound reason to bash Bush.

Some would be reachable if they were instructed on how to read a newspaper, magazine or book.

I think we have to come across as people who care, people who look for answers. And not just as Bush "bashers". Those who are looking for answers might therefor be reached.

The rest, like Rush Limbaugh are lost causes, because they are either making too much money or are drawing too much attention to stop spewing the party manifesto.

I see it as battle between the right way and the way that makes absolutely no sense.

19. Well, the Reeps lost big in the '98 mid-terms.
Funny how so many people can't recall even recent history.

The mid-terms were seen as a national referendum on the impeachment, and it was the first time an out-of-white-house party had lost seats in a mid-term in, what was it, a century?

All's we gotta do is remind folks of those facts now and again. (Along with the fact that Big Dog went out with higher approval ratings than the allegedly popular Ronnie Raygun.)

And I think that number may be too low. I'm pretty sure that half of the people who responded in the positive didn't even understand the question.

21. I guess I just feel that starting a war just for fun is the worst thing a
president can do. America, we're supposed to be the "good guys." We should be setting an example to the rest of the world. I want other countries to look up to us for guidance rather than to look down at us in disgust. I love America (except for our leaders) and I want the rest of the world to feel the same way.
