Watching America - English Translations for News about America
I heard about this new website on NPR earlier that translates newspaper articles from overseas.

http://www.watchingamerica.com/

It seems pretty good. Of course, the first story I noted was the one from the Morroccan paper that was reporting on Tom Tancredo, i.e. the Republican Congressmen who suggested that we should bomb Mecca in response to another terrorist attack. If their reading articles like this, is it any wonder why we aren't loved overseas?

2. I'm pretty sure that he created at least 100
terrorists right there with that remark.

Suppose it was the other way around.

Islam ruled the civilized world, Christianity was relegated to
mostly poor and underprivileged areas of the world. Some evangelical extremists committed terrorist bombings of Islamabad
or Cairo. And a politician got on the TV saying the next bombing
they would nuke Jerusalem or Bethlehem... I'm thinking the
outrage among young evangelical Christians would be huge, Eric
Rudolphs and Tim McVeighs would be signing up in droves to kick
the ungodly out of "our holy land".

We really have some very stupid people running the show here.

3. Yup, stupid people running the show,
You got that right! I too heard about the website on NPR, have read quite a few of the articles, a bad thing to do before going to bed, none of them were complimentary, to say the least. Its a nightmare, this war, no wonder people have bad dreams.
