A reminder from Teresa Heinz Kerry

In The Northwest: Teresa Heinz Kerry hasn't lost her outspoken way

By JOEL CONNELLY
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER COLUMNIST

...snip

COUNTING THE VOTES: Heinz Kerry is openly skeptical about results from November's election, particularly in sections of the country where optical scanners were used to record votes.

"Two brothers own 80 percent of the machines used in the United States," Heinz Kerry said. She identified both as "hard-right" Republicans. She argued that it is "very easy to hack into the mother machines."

"We in the United States are not a banana republic," added Heinz Kerry. She argued that Democrats should insist on "accountability and transparency" in how votes are tabulated.

"I fear for '06," she said. "I don't trust it the way it is right now."

21. I agree
And she was right. I just think she's great. She would've been a terrific first Lady. Someone different. She kind of reminds me of Elanor Roosevelt. I think she's right and I wonder if John is working on anything? I have read one of his daughters was threatned a few days after the election. That said a LOT because it shows me that John Kerry really did win. Why would someone threaten his daughter (probably from the Karl Rove group) if he didn't win? I was watching the PBS documentary on Karl Rove called "The Architect" and the first segment is VERY VERY telling. If you haven't watched it I enoucrage you to. Here's the link: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/architect/view

The first segment is what counts.

Not long after the election is when she first started talking about it. It was very shortly after it. She said basically the same thing as she is saying now.

20. Awesome, awesome statement from THK!!
I fear for '06 as well.

That's one of the reasons I was kicking and screaming about what happened in 2000. I kept saying "If they get away with a stolen election this time, they will do it over and over again."

And, like she says, they can do it easily, by manipulating the machines!

I'm so proud of Teresa.
