1. Even the right-wing press

is having to recognize how incompetent and traitorous the Bush administration was on this one. When does more news on the DSMs arrive? Bush thinks that the Supreme Court nomination will overshadow the Plame story. He shouldn't bet on it. Unless he comes clean on the Plame story, the press is likely to be a little cautious on supporting him on the Supreme Court nominee. Once the press tastes blood, it becomes very hungry for it. Interest in media product rises as do media revenues, and ideological loyalties CAN become a little less important sometimes. The press may revert to their old practice of swallowing the Bush administration lies whole, but it may get a bit rougher for Bush than it has been since 2000.
