Is The Current WH Spin Meant to Influence Potential Jurors?
And not the leak investigation itself? Just a thought...they may be resigned someone is going to go to trial...and are trying to start influencing the minds of potential jurors early?

3. Yeah, I agree - that's a given.

But they must be planning for a trial ... the prima facie evidence is obviously strong enough for an indictment IMHO.

So, again IMHO, it would be good legal strategy to start preparing for the next phase where the jury is supreme as soon as possible.

Regardless, it is important that we continue to rebut them at every turn, no need to let them have the advantage anywhere. This case will Ultimately be determined in a Court of Law...but though not nearly as important in a legal sense, we can't concede the Court of Public Opinion for many reasons.

2. I thought that too
but I'm more convinced that the 06 election is more on their minds....

In fact, I think I finally figured it out...

see....if they can obfuscate the facts before an indictment comes down then they can make it look like Fitzgerald is "over-zealous" and that Rove is a victim...

and....

all the Senators and Congressmen who are jumping up in front of the news cameras to defend him will face voters next year not as members of a dirty party but as heroic defenders of a martyr.

:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

6. I hope they do try to portray Fitzgerald as overzealous
because after what Ken Starr did in the '90s, I'll be LMAO at the hypocrisy.

8. If you were a repug Elected official...
would you take a chance with this strategy? Not me. I think I would distance myself as fast as possible from the slime.

Good thinking, but IMHO that horse won't speak.

:scared:

On edit....Look at Norm Coleman...he's in trouble and he knows it. He's playing the "democrats have gone crazy" card again...just like he did with Wellstone's funeral. It's his only hope.

4. they're playing the frame game
they're hanging their hopes on Rove not getting indicted.

The dems are fighting hard to keep the frame where it should be, on the fact that Rove was involved in the leak and that Bush doesn't care.

5. I think that may be the case
If Rove weren't in danger of indictment, there would be no need to leak all this stuff; the lack of indictment would vindicate him.
