Fitzgerald will be in final arbitor in the Plame leak
remember no matter how the pukes spin and lie and spin and lie, there will only be ONE truth and that is when Patrick Fitzgerald brings forth his indictments - then they cannot hide or run and spin any longer.

we all must hope that Mr. Fitzgerald is a honorable and honest man whose first priority is to his country and not any political party.

Let's face it folks - this guy can make or break it, the end of the BFEE.

2. I think the Grand Jury has a say in this, too.
They are the ones who VOTE on indictments.

3. If the prosecutor asks for the indictments
the GJ will bring them in - they will do what he recommends

6. I hope you're right
From the moment he was named, folks here said he was an R but had integrity and would do a good job. He seems to have done exactly that. I hope Rove doesn't have any dirt on him or his family.

5. exactly and it's well to remember that
they are drawn from the local voter registration lists (and other public lists) and are NOT screened for biases the way normal jury pools are. They could be all republican party workers or corporate special interest lobbyists and nobody can question their presence on the GJ.

4. Is this a DC Grand Jury, or is it elsewhere, like Va.?

7. I read his bio and he looks like a pretty good guy. On the other
hand Fitzgerald was recommended by Louie Freeh - the rightwing nut Opus Dei FBI director. That worries me a little.

8. exactly
Fitzgerald has all the facts, not the RNC. He is immune to the RNC noise machine and they might actually piss him off.

9. I do believe...
That Mr. Fitzgerald Esq., in his position, is allowed to carry a gun and is also allowed other officers as protection. I do hope that he avails himself of both privileges and if he carries, he gets lots and lots of range and shoot house time. Lots of work on perfecting the double-tap.

I am not a big fan of people running around strapped, but this is one time I consider it wise and prudent. I would suggest a nice, cut-down and combat-modified Smith(Triton sights, Pachmayr grips, a little smoothing of the action) .40, with three extra clips.

10. I have always said it would have to take a Republican to bring
these criminals down. Let's hope Fitzgerald is the one.
