Not one Senator contested the election in 2000
there has been no improvement to how votes are counted

F911 is on showtime right now, and showed the tradgedy of the members in the house trying to contest the election, but since no Senator signed it, we lost

5. I don't think he asked them to leave
it alone, but when his staff knew they had no senators what else could he do but maintain decorum.

9. Yes, he DID ask them to leave it alone
the election was decided. Wrongly, by the Supreme Court, but it was decided nonetheless. A challenge wouldn't have changed anything - in fact, a challenge would've thrown it to the House, where Bush would be LEGITIMATELY installed.

And yes, he had a Senator on his side - his name was Joe Lieberman.

Also, they called him Mr. President because he was presiding over the Senate, not because the representatives believed him to be the lawful president.

6. they should all, especially the democrats, stand up and apologize to the
nation. they should really have a big televised mea-culpa in which, each and everyone of them admits that had they joined in with Maxine Waters, Carrie Meeks and all of the Representatives who were trying to contest the elections, our country might be in a different shape today. they ought to fall on their knees and say, "through my fault, my own fault, and nothing but my fault..." perhaps that would allow them to begin looking at themselves and growing some spine. i think so.
