Not wanting to sound like an idiot...
but I am fairly new here and am just wondering who Andy was....from what I can gather he was a longtime friend of many of you and would just like to know more.....if someone could please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

3. Andy Stephenson was a voting rights activist
and a prominent member of this messageboard. This spring he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He did not have health insurance, but $50,000 was contributed to pay for his surgery at Johns Hopkins. Sadly, he died yesterday. He was much loved and will be missed.
