Clinton rides on elder Bush's boat
Forgive me if this is a dupe. I just happened onto it on the CNN.com site (I know, I know--I was bored). I didn't post it on LBN because it didn't seem appropriate.

I've got to tell you, this story makes me a little sick.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/06/27/bush.clinton.ap/index.html

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine (AP) -- Former President Bill Clinton joined his one-time political foe, former President George H.W. Bush, for a boat ride on the Atlantic Ocean after attending a book-signing Monday.

Clinton was seen kneeling to pet a dog when he arrived at Walker's Point, the summer home of George and Barbara Bush on Maine's rocky coast.

1. Who cares
I'm more concerned about the current president and the damage he's doing to this nation and the world.

Who Old Man Bush decides to boat with should not concern us at this time.

5. That's not my point
I greatly admire President Clinton. I think it's quite problematic, though, that he is lending his credibility to the BFEE. I don't understand it and I don't like it. Fair enough?

9. On average...
...We see a "CLINTON BAD!" post here at DU every 3.7 seconds. And every one is virtually the same: Clinton's betrayed us, Clinton's a DINO, Clinton's a Bush lackey, Clinton's the greatest evil the world has ever seen.

It gets tiresome very quickly for everyone but the authors, and I fail to see what purpose it serves--except as a variation of the "Democrats are just as bad as Republicans" nonsense Progs use to drum up support for their next sure-fire loser.

6. A memory I have of my father,
who was not very political (or at all violent), was that he would have loved to have taken Robert McNamara out in a boat to do some fishing.

The kicker was that only one would return. Maybe Bill just didn't have the right opportunity.
