I also wanted to post a funny Amazon review for the David Limbaugh book:

What will be the title of Davey Limbaugh's next book?

1. Ollie North's new bestseller
Jericho Sanction appears at #13 on the New York Times hardcover list for September 28. (check it out on their online edition.) Interesting to note: it has a dagger symbol, meaning it got on the list because of bulk orders. Why is it all these rightwing "bestsellers" have to rely on "bulk orders" to make the bestseller lists?

5. Because big Corp are buying up the printers.
The corp are starting to tell the book people who and what they can print.Bottom line and then they push what they print like crazy. Many of those books you can now buy for a dollar in the cut-rate store in No. Conway, NH and I am sure other states have the same thing.

2. about amazon vs. ny times
Amazon's top-100 list is updated every hour. The NY Times list covers a week of sales, and you don't see the actual rankings until a week AFTER those sales were finalized. Also, the NYT includes sales info from outlets that range from bookstores to wholesale clubs (like Sam's and Costco) to newsstands. Amazon's a good, quick indicator of instantaneous reaction to media coverage of books. I know a number of book publicists who use Amazon to gauge the effect of a particular ad.

btw, Jericho Sanction seems to be selling much slower than Ollie North's last book did. I guess rightwing buyers will shell out only so much money for a man who doesn't know how to write.

4. Amazon's rankings include preorders too.
Several of those books, including O'Reilly's and Moore's, aren't shipping yet, IIRC.

I wonder if they mean Clinton or Maher?
