3. I have mixed emotions on how to vote

on it. If Gitmo stays open, at least we know where the prisoners are. If they close it, the prisoners will just disappear to God only knows where.

I have very mixed feelings on this, too. At least Gitmo is in the public eye now, where the Red Cross, AI, etc, can keep some kind of eye on things and public opinion can force some change.

Closing the facility means losing track of everyone there, who'd be sent on to even worse places still hidden from scrutiny.

16. Ever consider though

how many of those prisoners are innocent of any wrongdoing, only to be pegged terrorists because of their color, creed or name? It's an abomination that many of those people were locked up in the first place.

If people are still scared shitless because "Ahmed" or "Amir" is in the country, then we should simply deport them, NOT leave them locked up like animals in a "concentration camp" which has all the markings of a modern Auschwitz. Yes, we haven't gassed them yet, but denigrating them at Gitmo AND at Abu Graib shows we're almost as virulently nasty as the Nazis were--even more so, because we're supposed to be claiming higher moral ground.

Then the next night O'Reilly edited the interview to make it look like Biden called for just closing it down. Then O'Reilly made it seem like it was his own idea to call for an investigation.. I posted a link to a video of Franken showing what O'Reilly did last night.. I'll see if I can find the thread.
