The talking point that Nixon would have prevented the fall of South Vietnam but for the Watergate investigation is simply wrong. The only way that Nixon could have prevented the fall of S. Vietnam was to put US troops back in and there was no way of that happening. Ben Stein, Rush, Buchanan and Nooner have all advanced this argument and it is wrong.
