#$%@!!! Freepers whining about "Deep Throat."
Edited on Tue May-31-05 04:57 PM by Archae
Just saw three Nixon apologists on MSNBC whining about "that guy isn't Deep Throat," (one was the wacko job Liddy,) and the now the Freepers are saying this:

Deep throat is a punk rat.

1. There are Nixon apologists on that board?
Nixon was downright liberal compared to the neocons of today.

8. Yeah, Nixon raised the minimum wage
If he wasn't a Republican, they would hate him. It's the party loyalty, which is very important for the little brown-shirts.

2. So they're still in live with Nixon?
Turned out the guy was a dman crook, and partially nuts too. How can someone be so partisan that they will still support a crook, even after it's proven?

revealed.

20. So he was a crook and a paranoid. That's no problem for them.
I'm just surprised they don't hate him because of his being more intelligent than 90% of them.

22. Jews, HIspanics, Blacks...he said incredibly stupid, bigoted
things about all of them.

Once, early on, when he was, I think, running for Cali gov., a reporter asked him what, if elected, he'd do to improve the lot of Black people in the state.

Nixon said something like, "OH, I don't think there's anything I could do to get a majority of the Black vote...'

The reporter had to cut in and say "No, sir, I asked about what you'd do to help Black people, not what you'd do to get their votes...."

....to that, Nixon stumbled. He really had no answer. But it illustrates how everything to Nixon was politics. He even used his daughters as political capital.....shamelessly.
Fuggin' stupid freepers...

12. I was always lukewarm on Nixon..
He was an essentially good man who believed in his goals.

But boy was he in over his head with Washington. That's why he became so paranoid.

Nixon was crminal in his actions re Watergate, but the man had a mind and a half on him. He KNEW the world. Bunnypants barely has a half a brain in comparison.

23. Me 4!
I remember saying at the time, that I diddn't think the Pubs did anything werse than the Dems, it's that they got caught!

That of course was before hearing what a real slime he was from his comversations on the tapes!

Shrub, on the other hand, is really evil. I'm convinced that he really does want to be King of his own theocracy, and make the World bow down to him, and he will do whatever it takes to get it.

Payback is a bitch. However, if it was Felt, he ought to have just done his job of taking care of the criminals instead of running to the press.

______________

Was listening to XM in the car. Before I switched to FOX, MSNBC babe said the boys made a promise & have said they will keep it. So much for promises. I am shocked....not.

This whole thing is strange. If the man has dementia, why would anyone take him at his word that he was Deep Throat?

Taking it one step further, if he has dementia, why would Woodward verify it?

Maybe I have a different value system, but if Felt truly has dementia, it would be more important to keep this promise.

Unless Woodward thought "What the hell, open the cash cow for the family beofe the old man dies." Some promise keeper.

* The true target of the breakin was in fact "NOT" Larry O'Brien's phone, Chairman of the DNC, but that of an escort service the Democrats set up for out of town male visitors.
I heard this years ago on an A & E special about "Watergate". The show's contention was that John Dean set up the break in because his girlfriend's (Maureen, later his wife) name was in the books of that escort service. It had absolutley NOTHING to do with Nixon or his re-election. I've often wondered who convinced Nixon it DID have something to do with him and got the cover-up rolling.
I'll have to read this book.

if it was Felt, he ought to have just done his job of taking care of the criminals instead of running to the press.

Political crimes. Political punishments. Where's the injustice in that?
These people have no poetry, no soul.

I'd hang my head in shame if someone in my family turned rat fink

There's some reason the Right idolizes the Mafia.
Fellas, God is a respectable member of the family in Jewish culture. Not the crazy aunt chained into the attic, as in yours.
Ever hear of that funny Commandment, the one that goes "Thou shalt not bear false witness"?
Oh, that's right, that one's not in Republican Bibles. (Nor is the Sermon on the Mount, nor the Law of Love, but we won't press that.)

Treason is treason

Only if Nixon was the King of the United States. Those of us who live by the Constitution of 1790 are quite sure this is not the case. Then again, Barry Goldwater said your ilk doesn't respect or know or accept the Constitution- back even in that day.

Liberals. The only people who actually live according to the Constitution. The people who don't deny that Section 1 of the 14th Amendment exists.

How many real felonies does it take for a Nixon aide to be a criminal in their eyes?
(Yes, I know the answer too.)
