Be champions? WTF?
Edited on Fri May-27-05 04:04 PM by LuckyTheDog
What is this, the Middle Ages? An episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer?" WTF kind of rhetoric is this?

"Show courage, and not just on the battlefield. Pursue the possibilities others tell you do not exist," he said. "The opponents of change are many and its champions are few, but the champions of change are the ones who make history. Be champions, and you'll make America safer for your children and your grandchildren, and you'll add to the character of our nation."

The clear implication is "be a champion like me." But GW has never taken physical risk for his country and never will. Remember how he spent most of 9/11/01 hiding? Some champion he is!

2. So Bush thinks that having military bases is a huge waste of money?
Hmm..

Why not spread that talking point around.

Mr. Homeland Security himself seesm to think that having soldiers here at home to defend America, and having people employed on the bases (as well as helping economies of nearby towns) is just a waste of money.

:wtf:

I thought the GOP was supposedly pro-military?
