Did You All see Who Ahmed Chalabi was Hangin With Yesterday?
Good Lord, when you think you have seen it all. Why isn't this front page NYT?

Radical Shiite Muslim Sheikh Moqtada Sadr (L) speaks to the press during a joint press conference with deputy prime minister Ahmed Chalabi in the southern holy city of Najaf, 160 kms from Baghdad. Both men emphasized the importance of the Sunni Muslim minority's participation in the formation of the new Iraqi constitution(AFP/Qassem Zein)

1. How come they are now saying the No. 1 terrorist may be ill?
All that was on this PC a week ago.We really are going to put Iraq back to the stone age but I frankly think that a country that old will not go to dust easy. In fact I bet they will still be a country long after we are not. How did we ever send Chalabi back to that country? He was a bad guy before he even got to the USA. I some times think I am on another world watching this mess.It is like a mad house.

5. The term "radical cleric" also applies to Dobson, Robertson, Falwell
et all.

A fundamentalist is a fundamentalist.

4. It's not a new development
Once Chalabi was (apparently) out of favour with the Bush regime, he started cultivating relationships with people who were less friendly to teh USA, such as Sadr. See eg http://www.tompaine.com/articles/20040812/the_perlechalabisadr_axis.php

6. Actually, I'd feel safer in a cell
with Saddam than on the street with either of these two.... but then, that's just me.
