1. Are you referring to the Newsweek thing?

I think that's already being pretty well debunked, with stories in the NYTimes, LA Times, Wash. Post and who knows how many others all pointing out that Afghan riots were caused by other things -- according, even, to General Richard Myers. And also that the Koran flushing story, while based on shaky evidence in Newsweek, was reported in other sources long before the Newsweek story, with the White House offering no denials at the time.

Besides, most people look at McClellan's hypocritical demands for apologies as just that -- particularly when the rest of the depredations described in the Newsweek story and elsewhere have gone undenied.

and nobody was being abused in our detention camps.

Until that Newsweek article, our troops were being greeted with cheering crowds flowing flowers at their feet.

I think Newsweek's next cover story should be about how the Government is pressuring publications to give favorable coverage.
