and boasted the first topless bar outside Las Vegas in the 60s, even when you had to bring your own booze to the club, put a label on it, and have the bartender mix your drinks with the non alcoholic ingredients the club supplied!

And that wasn't the least of it. The Queen City boasted a great many gay bars, some friendly to drag, and a few of them gay DANCING bars. Boston didn't have nearly as many.

Then there was the television station that ran "nudie crudies," porn films late at night every Saturday night.

Oh, and don't forget the largest number of churches per capita of any other large city during the same period, most with yellow and white striped tents set up outside for at least one week every summer.

This is absolutely nothing new. I'm describing the city as I left it in the late 60s.

The preachers should all quit their jobs and go into other lines of work. The continuing sex scene in Charlotte proves that they've all failed miserably at their stated jobs.
