TV hunk trying to flee gawkers

By Naush Boghossian
Staff Writer

Thursday, May 12, 2005 - GLENDALE -- When a national magazine published a photograph of James Denton's home, the sexy plumber on ABC's "Desperate Housewives" became, well, desperate.

Denton -- the hunky Mike the plumber on TV's Wisteria Lane -- said he fears for the safety of his real-life family after Us Weekly ran a picture of the house. Fans of the steamy nighttime series have since come by to gawk, and the father of two says he's ready to move after living there less than two months.

(snip)

Officials at Us Weekly had no comment on the flap, which has generated stories on "Extra," "Celebrity Justice" and on various Internet Web sites.

The actor and his wife already are searching for a new house and hope to move by the end of the month. Their current house is already in escrow... "He's moving as a preventative measure because the picture was published. He's not home a lot and he wants to move before anything happens."

if he doesn't want the attention of his adoring fans, why did he pick his chosen career?

5. i live in chicago- child murders are front page "news"...
murdered kids are a tragedy, sure- but banner headline stuff? no.
how does the murder of two kids by one of their fathers warrant so much press? how does their death impact on anyone except the families involved?

and if this guy didn't want to have a fan base, he should have become a REAL plumber...i'm sure that it's no secret that they've been selling 'maps to the stars homes' since long before this doofus decided to take up the "craft"...:eyes:

2. When his show jumps the shark, and you know it will
he'll long for the day that people knew who he was.

4. All you have to do is look at on line property records.
Unless he buys it under someone else's name it can always be found.
