3. Bush didn't panick. He didn't know anything about it!!!Just imagine if
that were Clinton. Rush and company would have a field day. As it is nothing, just nothing is said - or even thought - by the brain-washed American public.

Ridge reveals clashes on alerts
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-05-10-ridge-alerts_x.htm
By Mimi Hall, USA TODAY

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration periodically put the USA on high alert for terrorist attacks even though then-Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge argued there was only flimsy evidence to justify raising the threat level, Ridge now says.

Ridge, who resigned Feb. 1, said Tuesday that he often disagreed with administration officials who wanted to elevate the threat level to orange, or "high" risk of terrorist attack, but was overruled.

---snip---

"More often than not we were the least inclined to raise it," Ridge told reporters. "Sometimes we disagreed with the intelligence assessment. Sometimes we thought even if the intelligence was good, you don't necessarily put the country on (alert). ... There were times when some people were really aggressive about raising it, and we said, 'For that?' "

...of the American people for their unelected warmongering corporate regime.

Iraq is a complete and utter failure. A military defeat is insurmontable politically. The sight of washingtonians fleeing like characters in a Godzilla movie was a laughable and embarrassing episode. The sounds of reporters telling stories like they were in a real war zone was a scream.

I thought I was watching a comedy movie.

Last week the boss sent an email to everyone. It said, if you have any decorative hand grenades in your office, you'd better get rid of them, given the times we live in.

18. NOT Washingtonians.... our GOVERNMENT
Edited on Thu May-12-05 09:15 PM by thecrow
The DC police Dept and first-responders weren't even TOLD about this until it was all over!!!

Doesn't this smack of a...er....<cough>staged alert<cough>..?
I ask you now.
If ALL of the people in Washington were threatened, SHOULDN'T ALL OF THE PEOPLE IN WASHINGTON HAVE BEEN TOLD OF THE THREAT?

Is the WH and the Capital the ONLY two places in Washington, D.C. that matter anymore?
I fear for this country if this is the case.

On second thought, I just fear for this country.

15. Bravely bold Sir Republican rode forth from Washington
Ode to Brave Sir Republican

With abject apologies to Monty Python

Bravely bold Sir Republican rode forth from Washington.
He was not afraid to die, O brave Sir Republican.
He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways,
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Republican!
He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp,
Or to have his eyes gouged out and his elbows broken,
To have his kneecaps split and his body burned away
And his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Republican!

His head smashed in and his heart cut out
And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off
And his penis...

Brave Sir Republican ran away,
Bravely ran away, away.
When danger reared its ugly head,
he bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Republican turned about
And gallantly, he chickened out.
Bravely taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat,
Bravest of the brave, Sir Republican.

He is packing it in and packing it up
And sneaking away and buggering up
And chickening out and pissing off home,
Yes, bravely he is throwing in the sponge.

19. If they had gone to hide
they wouldn't have had all of those cameras rolling helping to spread the fear to all corners of the country.

Interestingly enough, it didn't look to me like everyone was running for their lives. The pictures that I saw on the "news" showed a lot of reporters and staffers running but I didn't see very many of the "important people" hauling ass. I wonder why...
