I am NOT a Bush Hater!
Edited on Mon May-09-05 06:30 PM by demgurl
I just saw this phrase on a web site and it just really struck me wrong. I do NOT hate *, he is not worth hate. I just really love my country.

OK, I do not like him. I do not like him a LOT!!!! But 'they' think we hate * just because they actually did hate Clinton. They did not like our country to thrive and blossom.

I think * is an idiot and destroys everything he touches but it is hard to hate someone that has the intelligence of an onion. (sorry to all you onion lovers out here) I don't hate him, I just want to be rid of him.

2. I hate him too
I THOUGHT I hated Nixon - but this cretin makes Tricky Dick look good. I never "hated" Reagan - just his policies.

It takes a lot for me to hate anyone - but Bush has done it - and I hate to hate - just another reason to hate him for making me fell this way.

9. Well, I hate what he stands for.
That's about the same I guess. Some man selling who knows what in the middle of the street on Upper East Side of Manhattan called me a faggot on my way home from work today. Simply because I told him he was blocking the crosswalk and people are trying to get out of the way of traffic. His response: "F.U. faggot!" My response (after a moment of utter shock): "Yep! Big one!" Do I hate him? Maybe, I'm not sure really. But I hate his message. That's good enough for me. I left him behind with a few people who were applauding me and some man told me I should punch him. Not worth going to jail over. But * I might take a swing at.

10. Add one more "hate him"
I detested Nixon, thought it couldn't get worse. It did. Reagan was an amiable dunce, pitied him more than anything. But *, is there a stronger word than hate?

16. I agree about hatred adding emotional energy to the man
which causes attachment, and someday may make me as irrational a freeper with their hatred of just about everything.

I prefer to hate what he does, what he stands for (what ever that is), his dishonesty, his utter lack of regard for the value of lives he's sending to fight "his" war, and his hipocracy. I look forwardd to the day he faces his political downfall. But I can't be bothered hating him.

I do refuse to watch or listen to him.

13. This is a rough one.
But ultimately, I have determined that I hate him for what he has done to my country. He is the first person, whether someone I know or not, that I have actually hated. (I was too young for Hitler.)

14. You do not have to honor people who try and destroy your life. You
can hate them for their actions. Nothing wrong in that. Especially if it is a pattern. And it hurts people. And it is meant to hurt people. Because his is controlled by nuts & elites.

19. George W. Bush is a puppet. The neoCONs & corporacrats are evil!!!
I love my country, my people and all those who are being picked apart by these vultures. I hate what the neoCONs & corporacrats are doing to humanity. They are heartless, immoral, greed-driven, power-brokering predators who don't give a damn about all the people they are hurting, oppressing, destroying.

Those heartless bastards deserve a life wearing an orange suit in a 6 X 6 barred cell.

21. Hating * is misplaced anger.
He was installed by corporations and serves their interests, and it is to their advantage if you focus on and hate their "water boy" in DC. Most of the neocon action is happening outside the oval office.

Why be distracted by a puppet?

I recommend you all get a copy of The Corporation and watch it. The Yes Men is a good film too.

27. Power....we should NEVER ignore what he is doing
to our once great country. And it in important that we are educated in every way possible. We must be ever vigilant in the defense of our country.

I so strongly dislike the guy for all he represents but if I start to let hate take over, my judgment gets clouded and I can not be at my best to help destroy him. It will take us years to recover from this regime.

28. For me it is a matter of focus
I can truly hate, and truly wish to destroy someone/something (neo-con movement). Now, I truly loathe getting into this frame of mind, but I can focus the hatred into a mode which I "destroy" what I hate. Just how the hate is focused.

34. No, I really do hate him
and it used to bother me because I didn't like that I felt that way.

Now I just think that it was my brain's way of warning me to be very, vary wary of the man. From the very first time I saw GWB on TV, all my internal red flags went up. I felt like the guy in Stephen King's book The Dead Zone, and wondered if I was the only person who felt like that - of course, now I know better, especially since I discovered DU.

Even 9/11 didn't change my feelings, although like many others I briefly went through a period of "wrapping the flag around myself" - but that was still not the same as liking or believing in the President.

I believe that * will go down in history as the worst president ever. I just hope we still have a country by the time those history books are written.
