If HIllary Clinton Had Peformed The Same Sketch
as Laura Bush did, when Bill was prez, the press today would be ALL over her, criticizing her for being too vulgar.

Fox News Sunday lead story would be "Did The First Lady Cross the Vulgarity Line?" The nightly news would open with a stern looking Brian Williams asking us "Are families across the United States asking themselves over the dinner table whether the First Lady is contributing to the 'sleaze factor' in America?"

Rightwing religious groups would hold full scale press conferences denouncing her. Republican congressmen would sadly shake their heads and let us know, subtly, that the Democratic party is all about demeaning good, wholesome values and that Hillary represents that in spades.

But, none of this will happen. Because the press can't criticize Republican administrations and because the Democratic party doesn't have the organizational skills or the know how to orchestrate a public relations backlash.

The double standard is mind boggling.

1. The Dems don't control the media
the Repubs do. That's why I am excited about the new "liberal" radio.

2. Another Double Standard...
If a popular comedian had said what Laura said, they would have been all over the comedian for "Liberal Hate Speech."

But, personally, from what I heard, I think it was funny (and true).

And that's how we should respond to what Laura said. Praise her honesty.

4. If you look at the audience reaction, you'l see a lot of people
found her remarks tacky.

I think Bush is a creep. But I've never heard him make fun of Lump publicly, he always is complimentary (even if he's secretly an abusive husband at home). Although I really did enjoy the speech, I liked her potshots at her husband, she made him look like a fool and herself much smarter, I think it was tacky of her to roast him.

5. You are so right!
It is laughable. Way back when, there was talk about Hillary Clinton 'channeling' Eleanor Roosevelt. The wonderful beltway whores tittered about it for days.
I happen to surf across the right reverend John Hagee decrying 'witchcraft' in the White House. John Hagee is a pentecostal minister(I believe) out of Texas. Reverend Hagee would be foaming at the mouth if Hillary had said something about Bill milking a male horse.
I wonder what I-m-an-ass-in-the-morning will say? Probably go on about comic genius.

8. Hillary wouldn't have done this.
She's too classy. Although I have been at odds with her lately for her pandering to the right, she is a class act and I enjoyed listening to what she had to say today on "Politically Direct" on AAR.
