When do Liberals apologize?
I'm in a discussion in another forum about how Liberals are far more likely to apologize for mis-deeds and errors than conservatives. I can think of three Liberals who have apologized:

1) Randi Rhoads (For a satire about killing the pres.)

2) Dan Rather (For covering the fact that Bush was AWOL, but then using evidence that was not backed up.)

3) Byrd. (For belonging to the Klan as a youth.)

Any other examples? (I'd say Clinton, but he wasn't really a Liberal.)

3. Al Franken always apologizes when he has even slightly misspoken
Al Franken always apologizes and clarifies if he has said anything that he realizes is not absolutely correct or should be modified.

7. liberals still have their dignity and integrity

reasonably intact, or at least on the upswing. So apologizing doesn't hurt them much.

Can't say the same for Republicans.

8. I don't know that Dan Rather is a liberal
When one comes down to it, Senator Byrd is a lot less liberal than Clinton.

It isn't a mark of a liberal to apologize or a conservative not to. It is the mark of an honest man to apologize and an arrogant fool not to.

That is why Bush never admits a mistake.

With my compliments.

And do let me know how the right wingers react. That might be good fun.

9. I am sorry but...
Liberals are probably the only ones in this society that appologize. Even for our existence, much of the time. Liberality has fundamentally (if you will pardon the expression) a questioning outlook on life. Means one needs to apologize when we realize that the dogma that we were just living is not true. Questions lead to apologies. Apologies lead to growth. It is a good thing.
