Isn't such a bad thing RS.
'The Beast' sometimes falls under the control of those who do not have our best interest at heart.
That is the failing of traditional Socialism: it requires common compliance world-wide, else we have the 'race to the bottom'.
But when we turn capitalism on its head, and create an economic and monetary system designed for PEOPLE, there is no race to the bottom, but rather a race to the top.
We each own ourselves (or should). We take our labor and apply it to the natural world and create capital We take our labor, and with some capital, we can create more capital, or wealth. We enjoy the fruits.
It's really a question of ownership, and who gets to keep the surplus of production. We have effective market mechanisms to determine who gets to keep the products of labor, and of capital. Where we fail is determining who gets to keep the product of land. In our current system, it's almost always the owner of the land.
And we can't create our own land. And no one created the land - the ownership thereof is a construct of the governments we've created.
We should socialize the product of the land, rather than let the capitalists keep it. Progressive income taxes are a proxy for this, but they have their own limitations and distortions.
If one country socialized it's land, and shared the rents among it's peoples; and created a credit rather than debt based currency; that country would prosper above all else, there'd be work for those who wanted it, and they'd start the race to the top.
