2. watching it right now.
Pretty good, a little over-produced.

Cute bit: voice-over talking about cats eating poisonous cane toads, and dying, showing several house cats in a yard somewhere flopping over dead with sad meows. Couldn't help cracking up. The toads were introduced as part of several disastrous efforts to deal with rats that had invaded. The narrator explained that biological controls are best not done by amateurs.

Before the Geographic show, they had a nifty little half-hour long show with Alan Alda on the thermohaline conveyor belt in the oceans, and climate change. I'm impressed by that show, they've done several excellent episodes this season.

3. The cats falling over cracked me up, too...
Totally unexpected.

Now, they are getting to the climate change part.
I looked at PBS.org and found out about this show.

6. I just attended a lecture by Richard Leakey
He was warning about global climate changes which he seems to think will be worse than most.

He talked a lot about how in the past when climates changed people would just pick up and move, north, south, higher, lower. But today in Bangladesh there are 350 million (!?) people living in a very small area just a few feet above ground level. Where will they move to he asked? Was interesting.
