MSNBC: Radical Right Still A Threat
never thought I'd see this from the MSM

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7408353/

NEW YORK - Although it’s been 10 years since the Oklahoma City bombing, and no similar attacks have occurred on U.S. soil, experts who follow the extreme radical right say they still pose a serious threat of domestic terrorism.

1. It's nice to see
someone is recognizing that domestic terrorism is most likely to come from the right instead of the left.

2. Case in point: homegrown terrorist Eric Rudolph.
I live in Georgia, where he committed three bombings, killed a lady and injured scores.

Guess what the headline in the Athens-Banner Herald was on April 14?
(in bold, 3/4" high letters)

Rudolph: Guilty, proud of it
Bomber says abortion 'justified' force

:grr:

Do you think that the headline might incite other right wing Christian terrorists to continue Rudolph's campaign of terror?
I am angry beyond words. The AJC had a similar headline.

4. Compare that to Fox's special on the subject last night...
In which they made the case that the REAL bad guys were a conspiracy between white supremacists and (wait for it!) AL QAEDA!

And of course millions of Vulpine Zombies will eat it up and it will become The New Truth.

5. The ATF should do a rolling siege around Tom DeLay
and Bush. I remember after Oklahoma City, Bob Dole threw some sops about the UN and that non-sense to the militia nuts. These guys play to that crowd.

7. I didn't read the article, but I don't suppose they included
Delay, Frist, Santorum and their ilk in their "extreme radical right" statement?

8. Saw this one on Smirking Chimp yesterday
it was re-posted from Rolling Stone
http://www.smirkingchimp.com/article.php?sid=20746&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0

This was the quote that nearly drove me over the edge:

"Our job is to reclaim America for Christ, whatever the cost," Kennedy says. "As the vice regents of God, we are to exercise godly dominion and influence over our neighborhoods, our schools, our government, our literature and arts, our sports arenas, our entertainment media, our news media, our scientific endeavors -- in short, over every aspect and institution of human society."

Vice Regents of God?? Exercise their dominion and influence? Reclaim America for Christ? Arrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :grr:
