Attention Bloggers: You are not real Journalists
According to this article: http://www.duluthsuperior.com/mld/duluthtribune/news/opinion/11390846.htm

Here is a snippet:

Shaw grumpily declared blogging "a solipsistic, self-aggrandizing journalistic-wannabe genre" that is not entitled to First Amendment rights enjoyed by "professional" journalists. If courts allowed bloggers "to invoke the privilege to protect confidential sources," Shaw puffed, "the public will become even less trusting than it already is of journalists."

You guys and gals out there are making a lot of people nervous. You are a threat to the few billionaires that own the media. This DU thread.... http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3479336 reveals this scary thought by none other than Rupert Murdoch.

Be very afraid my friends.

4. You'd think the media would embrace bloggers,
since the media has become so lazy and doesn't want to do the work anymore.

5. Well, Faux News aren't journalists either.
Shouting and opining distractions, ignoring truth and protecting Dear Leader isn't journalism, it's BULLSHIT. Unfortunately, those with the most cash and watchers that share the same brain seem to get away with it every time.

7. bloggers.
I saw an interview by Markos Moulitsas Zúniga of DailyKos. He makes the point that a blog is just a tool. You can't expect 'bloggers' to fit into one definition. Such as newspapers: some are very good and some are trash. A blog is like a typewriter or a writing tool and to assume that one definition will cover everyone won't work. 'Are users of typewritters are journalist' Nope! There are going to be great blogs, and RW blogs, and crap blogs. Yes there are bloggers that are journalist. And there are blogs that are equal to the drunk you run into at the local bar. Stop trying to define 'bloggers'. You can't. Define which journalist are out there that are USING blogs.

PS I'm a big Rawstory.com fan.

10. Journalists aren't doing their jobs.
They should be fired. The no-talent and play-it-safers are going to get weeded out. The people who break stories and make cogent arguments are going to destroy the stenographers and demagogues. Couldn't happen too soon.

11. NEWSFLASH!!!!!
The MSM has NO REAL JOURNALISTS working for THEM!!! It is their job to keep the American public informed and they have failed miserably. When everything about this corrupt govt. surfaces, I will be one citizen who will insist on accountability. Period.

Peace!

currently making up the pack of corporate media journalists?

13. I blog, and I am not a journalist.
Bite me, Rupert!

Most bloggers are just calling attention to Rupert's lies by doing what journalists are supposed to do: fact checking and dot connecting.
