Used Prius worth $40k? Guy at my work said he read that. My Prius is two

years old, and they were going for $21k at that time.

Anybody know anything about this?

I think I'll sell my car if I could get that much money for it.

On the other hand, somebody knows something if they are selling for that much, and I might make a big mistake and be walking from here on out. :(

Because there is no 6-month waiting list. Sell it, baby! Buy a non-hybrid California-emissions Honda Civic and pocket the difference for the coming hard times BushCo has caused. A CA-Emissions Civic gets almost as good gas mileage and has practically zero emissions.

4. Selling for more and selling for $40k is a big difference. If it is just

a couple $k than I paid for it, I think its just best to keep it. $40k is a whole nother story.

Have to go to work now. I'm going to check into it (Maybe on the web) If anybody will really pay me $40k for it - ITS GONE, :)

3. Indeed ... it is the wait.

I was looking at the Prius. The dealer said that they had a guy that was on their list (several times). He turns around and sells the car for a profit.

Scalping cars for christ sakes.

6. I just looked on E-Bay, and they are selling for about what you'd expect.

My friend at work is full of balony - except he did say it was on CBS - and if it was on TV - then it must be correct. Right??

a two year old Prius for sticker price. New Prius where selling for 10 K over sticker price. Prius are in demand and holding there value!
