I think we should make up a bunch of purple heart band-aids and hand them
out at Republican fund raisers. A publicity stunt to say to them this is as close as you will ever get to a purple heart and also to bring attention to how they truly feel about the military. I don't know if anything could ever shame them but we could sure try...I can't think of anything more shameful right off the top of my head than their vulgar tastelessness with the purple heart band-aids. I think they should get the recognition they deserve..

1. Might be a good idea,
Especially as it turns this shameful tastelessness against those who started it. I thought at the time that Democrats should try to recognized anyone from their hometown wearing these band aids. Then they could get wounded vets or current soldiers to make an issue of this in their local papers. I would have loved if even one of these people were confronted with how evil this was. Kerry was a 25 year old with everything to live for, who could have been killed any day he went out. He was lucky that none of his wounds were more serious.

It still surprises that the media would essentially consider this to be fair play. It was unbelievably cruel to Kerry.

2. I agree Toots
That purple band-aid thing at the repug convention seemed to put a maginifying glass up to their petty, small minds. I found the photo of that one very unattractive lady (and not just physically) sickening.
