Are there any plans for mass demonstrations?

If you know any groups organizing demonstrations, please post them here.

I have written my senators, and I was not very nice. I showed them the same contempt they are showing us. I am tired of being a nice guy. show civility to those Republicans and they will fuck you in the ass.

7. It seems that this issue is ready made
for a compromise solution.

Can't the two sides agree that all nominees should be voted on within some reasonable amount of time to be negotiated?

It seems that both sides should be able to agree to that.

9. Only if both sides were reasonable
But if one side is pushing a majority of Fundie Judges and complaining when only 95% of them are accepted, then a compromise wouldn't be good for the country.

10. I don't see them wanting to negotiate on these
issues. they think they have found a path to complete control and unlimited power.

19. I'm all for a
declaration of WAR. While in fact a veritable state of war exists and has existed for some time I believe they opposition should know what they are getting themselves into. Full out declaration of WAR upon approval of the nuclear option is eminent. Dems in congress should join in with the publics outrage and monkey wrench everything until the nuclear option is abandoned. One thing I KNOW we can do is monkey wrench. If they are willing to monkey even elections, we should be willing and able to monkey wrench with the best of them. Filibuster any activity at all in the Senate. In their face stuff, with anger and outrage and nothing less. The nuclear option would brute fuck the country for at least twenty years. This issue should be moved to the top three of our agenda. I'll stop short of placing which order of importance, but right up there with ELECTION REFORM and the MSM debacle. If we're smart, we could use it to our advantage. A ton of freepers are even against it. The Senate should know we're coming to get YOU.

that gets people to the streets. Even many die hard liberals don't find parlimentary procedures and congressional rules all that sexy.

Though in most respects the changing of these rules will have terrible consequences for the future for certain.

26. Frame is as a coup against our two party system. Frame it as the
end of our constitutional rule. Frame it as a grab for dictatorial power.

23. It will NEVER happen..here's why
At least TWO (really 3) elections were stolen...in broad daylight..ON TV, and there was very little public opposition...

I would guess that 75% or more people do not even know who their own congress person is, and most do not know who the supreme court justices are (that's what the nuclear solution is about)..

If people didn't get fired up about the elections, it's hard to believe that enough people would protest this "floor tactic", when they don;t even care how the government works..

There was scant, if any coverage of the NIG protests, so why would the media bother "its pretty little mind" about any protests..

You can bet that it's a done deal because each party thinks that they either will KEEP their majority, or they will regain it, so the tactics that are "useful" to a majority are beneficial to have available to them..

Political parties think alike, and binge at the same trough. What WE want is about dead last on their "to do" list:(
