Did anyone ever think that a time will come when Nixon would be
considered a model of truth telling as far as these things go?

2. Not really
but when I found myself actually missing Nixon about 3 years ago, that's when I knew how f#*@ed Dubya really was. I wasn't even living in the states during RMN's presidency.

6. Yeah, I miss Nixon too
At least when he did something crooked he was honest enough to KNOW it was crooked. This bozo can convince himself the world is flat if Rove whispers it in his ear.

Oh, for the days of Trickie Dickie!

8. He was a rotten bastard, but at least he was up front about it
And pretty much everybody could tell he was batshit crazy. Guess koolaid hadn't been invented yet.

10. But don't you remember, "I am not a crook"?
Are you saying he knew he was a crook, but he just didn't say so? In which case, he WAS a liar. I hate GWB with all my heart, but that sure doesn't mean I miss Nixon.

9. If you think about it,
many of the things he did that were illegal are probably legal now under the Patriot Act. Another reason to go back to our principles and abandon it.

11. Bush makes Nixon look good but no.
Nixon was a weird, mentally ill person. Nixon could have been a great President but he threw it all away because of his paranoia and hatefulness.

13. I love Nixon
(relative to Bush).

But, in many respects, they are the same monster.
