Anyone else think the format of the forum hear is hard to keep track of?
Maybe just because it is new to me, but its hard to keep track us whats newly posted on a thread and what is not. I am used to the regular forum where each posted gets put right after the last one.
2. It's automatically threaded. If you click on "view all", you can see
all the posts and it's easy to see who's replying to who. Once you get used to it, it's a lot better than a totally sequential listing (which seldom makes much sense)
There is an issue common to most such forums in that controvercial topics tend to stay pinned to the top while succinct observations that most agree with disappear quickly. But that is what kicks are for. Unfortunately it is human nature to vocalise on negative matters more than on positive ones.
11. i think it's because you are new here, but i find DU very user friendly
i think the more you post on here and the longer you use it the more used to it you will get. it can also start getting kind of addictive.
the DU system is a lot better since you know which post people are actually responding to. it might be confusing right now but i'm sure you will get used to it and find it useful .
at the top you can edit your preferences and set Latest instead of Lobby as your default page. Then all the threads will show the most current post 1st.
18. i would lose threads i posted in and not know if someone
responded. found my post. you can hit on that and see the posts you make and if anyone replied to you then you can click on your post and go straight to thread
once use to this format, it is very cool, and easy
