Question: Has Dr. Bill Frist examined any videos or photos of
Tom Delay's father?

The Congressional precedent seems to compel Frist to examine the evidence to determine whether or not he can charge Tom DeLay with (what DeLay would define as) murder.

Isn't that where we are with this thing?

(I'm trying to catch up.)

3. I hadn't even considered that.
That's certainly another line of investigation worthy of exploration.

These people have opened so many doors for us. Freedom is on the march.

7. Frist-world renowned heart surgeon moonlights as neurology consultant -
Send him your 5 seconds of film and he'll name that tune.

Seriously - Frist should be called out at every opportunity.

Every single chance we get - especially in the audio culture - nail his name to video diagnosing 5 seconds of Terri Schiavo's edited video. They're always calling him 'the world renowned heart surgeon' - well he just blew his reputation all to hell on this one.

10. Wasn't that amazing?
He was cornered between reality and fascism and had to side with fascism.

I'm so proud of my country's leaders.

11. What? Bill Frist (excuse me -- Dr. Frist) diagnosed TS
based on video? :wow: Wow, somehow I missed this. That's just crazy!

I'm guessing it's the same video that is on the website (terrisfight.org). The video is supposed to demonstrate that Terri is responsive. Well, I saw the video, and I'm not buying that.

Viewing Videotape, Frist Disputes Fla. Doctors' Diagnosis of Schiavo
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A48119-2005Mar18?language=printer

Bill Frist (R-Tenn.), a renowned heart surgeon before becoming Senate majority leader, went to the floor late Thursday night for the second time in 12 hours to argue that Florida doctors had erred in saying Terri Schiavo is in a "persistent vegetative state."

"I question it based on a review of the video footage which I spent an hour or so looking at last night in my office," he said in a lengthy speech in which he quoted medical texts and standards. "She certainly seems to respond to visual stimuli."

Some medical professionals questioned the appropriateness of Frist challenging court-approved doctors who have treated Schiavo. Laurie Zoloth, director of bioethics for the Center for Genetic Medicine at Northwestern University, said she was surprised to hear Frist weigh in, given that he has not examined Schiavo. "It is extremely unusual -- and by a non-neurologist, I might add," Zoloth said in an interview.

Were Frist rendering an official medical judgment, she said, relying on an "amateur video" could raise liability issues. After 15 years, "there should be no confusion about the medical data, and that's what was so surprising to me about Dr. Frist disagreeing about her medical status," Zoloth said.

Dean Rebukes Frist re Schiavo Video Diagnosis Quackery{

"This is a deeply personal matter and ought to be left up to physicians," Dean said in a telephone conference call with Tennessee reporters.

"For Sen. Frist to say he could make a diagnosis based on a videotape is certainly not medically sound," said Dean, who, like Frist, is a physician-politician. "I wouldn't want my doctor making any diagnosis of me on videotape."

14. Thanks for posting that. I forgot that Howard Dean is
a physician, too. He just doesn't ram that fact down our throats like the repubs do about Sen. Catkiller.
